Wah -- hooooooooo!! :D It's snowing cats and dogs outside! I love it when I hear the sounds of those heavy city plow trucks going up and down the streets all night. It's one of the most beloved sounds of my childhood; because when I was a kid, it meant that they'd call off school for that day! :joyfull:

The big boys (stock image below, just to show scale of truck size) were out here on my street all night, and will be out all day today! 🥰

Enough snow to cover the grass and roads. My apartment complex started to plow early like 5ish. I understand people have to get to work but 5 on a Sunday morning and it's not like there was a lot of snow. The snow near my car is hardly higher than the road. My area is on the snow/rain line for the next few hours.

I remember those days as a little one playing and breathing that cold crisp air during a snowfall. When I got a little older having to deal with driving, shoveling commuting in the snowy icy weather then I said never again. The one city I lived in Winston Salem NC did not have crisp clean air. A city full of friendly people, great BBQ, slower pace of life, city shuts down when one year we had 2 inches of snow and breathe the tobacco filled air. That air was courtesy of the RJR Nabisco factories pumping out smoky scents from the smoke stacks into the city while making Winston cigarettes. It seems like living in cold weather helps ones health and life expectancy. One survey advised the healthiest cities in North America were Vancouver , Toronto and Montreal.

It is early, but one has to remember that your complex is probably not the only one that has to be plowed. Yours is probably closer to their home base, therefore you got it done first. They makes for many times when it seem early and other times when it is a blessing. If the temps are fluctuating it is best to get rid of any accumulation so it doesn't freeze again in the shape of ruts. I might not freeze again, but it is better to be prepared then not.

That's actually late for some. In my brother apt days weekday or weekends his areas were plowed , salted etc anywhere between 12-am- 4am provided the snow stopped. The plow guys rapped up around 8am and one can find them at McDonalds or a diner having a huge breakfast after working all night.

Looks like you had a tornado.
Yikes. Apparently, just before 6. It had just started raining when I walked out of Vitamin Shoppe and was sitting in my car in Whole Foods parking lot waiting for it to slow down before going inside. I texted Brian as I was finally walking in at 5:56PM as I knew he was about to leave for work. I was about 1.5(?) miles up the road from the tornado and had no clue. Fortunately, no one was injured, it headed to the Ocean (just a few blocks) and very little damage.
