@Snowy McSnowface -- here is an updated announcement of the 2024 date for the Guernsey Air Display. The reason they moved the date (to June 13, 2024), was so that the Red Arrows would be available to perform. It will be the 60th display season for them! :)

London today til the rest of the trip. Did a tour or Westminster Abbey and the tower of London. Westminster Abbey was great but the religious righteous got to me after a while. Murder and torture at the Tower was so much better. 21.5k steps. Disney tomorrow.

This is all I could afford at Harrods. I would have bought a simple chocolate chip cookie or Portuguese Pasteis de Nata had I know this would be waste of money and calories

Inside Westminster. These are all phone pics

Tower of London....no line to see the Crown Jewels. You can't take pictures. But the stuff in there can probably feed a couple third world countries if they sold it all

Really nice photos. The crowds are probably so much lower now as well, in the off season for tourists. So, a good time to travel over there.

Trick or treating in the city I live is 11 days away. Right now, the temps on the 29th would not be your type of weather.

Right now the high is supposed to be 44 degrees as a high and around 34 degrees as a low on the 29th.
They do trunk or treat around here as I live in the woods so I drop off stuff then sit in my nice warm house watching movies:joyfull:

Does that mean that people drop off candy, etc., to one location (like a school gym, or church hall), and the kids go there (instead of individual houses) and pick up their treats?

Pretty much. If it's nice the kids have a party and parade in their costumes before going around the lot collecting candy. If the weather isn't good they have the party before marching around inside then collect their stuff in the hall as well

When I lived back in the day in colder climates, the parents and kids would go to a mega mall and trick or treat there. The kids visit a number of stores and the staff gives them candy. In my area a guy in his 30s who lives with his mom, he dresses up like Leatherface and with a working chainsaw dances around his front yard and scares the ones walking down the street.
