I stood outside my car for 2 solid minutes before gettin’ in, to let the heat dissipate (we had to park in the uncovered lot today because of maintenance in the parking garage). Every surface in the car was scorching hot, especially the steering wheel, the seat belt buckle, and the console lid…!!!!! 🔥:hilarious:

Temps at not even 2p…!!!!! :hilarious:

How I got into "trouble" with my mother.

Mom recently got Instagram. It's her first social media account. She only follows me and a few others.

Anyway, even though she and my dad never see it, I always post a Happy Anniversary post to them on Instagram and Facebook and then pass along the well wishes to them from other people. This year, of course, she saw it. And at first she was like, "oh, this is so nice of you". Then she saw the picture...

It was of them at the top of Diamond Head. It was a picture from a few years ago. I think it's a nice picture. She goes, "Eww, why that picture? Look at that hat! I don't like that hat anymore. And that picture is old. I don't wear that shirt anymore. Why didn't you pick a different picture?"

So apparently, next year, I have to let her pick out the picture because apparently, I have no idea what pictures she looks good in. 🤣
I understand how parents are. I watch myself online due to my parents. I never got into trouble online by them.

Mom is not a concern with online, but dad is. Mom is not as internet savvy as my dad. My dad does surf the forums here on Wdwmagic. I have no idea if he's a member. He discovered the site on his own.

I know he does read posts in the WDW Parks News, rumors and current events forum and WDW Parks General Forum on these boards by him printing posts.

How I keep myself out of trouble is don't post pictures of them and be careful what I post about them.
Pro tip: NEVER EVER let your parents follow you on social media;)
Never been happier the parental units have no clue about how to join social media sites
I don't have that concern. Dad does have my email address. The stuff he sends is useful.

Some wear gloves or mittens to drive in the wintertime . Could be an option to wear while first getting in car that probably is so hot one can fry an egg inside. Those folks who have auto start in their cars do have advantages like starting their car from a distance so their AC or heat left on can crank up or cool down the temps in the car prior to getting in. I don’t have that in my cars since I drive a stick and the manual transmission I leave in first gear and pull up the parking break prior to leaving the car.Save the manuals !
