Well now you have. We did to tour the factory and hit the discount store. RIP the airport, factory tour and discount store
I miss the discount store where you could buy a year's worth of chocolate with a week's allowance just because the labels were crooked

I was like there's an airport near Hershey. Then I realized Harrisburg has an airport. Though I can't stand an airport calling themselves international when there is no international flights.

Once upon a time there was an airport in Hershey close enough to the park to walk to the park. Small would be an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One runway, no tower, a building that was best described as a shack that housed a flight school
The international designation has to do with being able to process people/baggage/air freight through customs. Harrisburg doesn't have commercial passenger flights but I do believe the have air freight capabilities along with being able to process private flights

Since Hershey Park has been opened longer than MK, did MK copy HP in the chocolate smells wafing in the air? That scent made me hungry in both places. The Grateful Dead played a concert at the HP stadium in 1985. That place would be a stoners dream come true. Chocolate, munchies and Jerry Garcia.

Originally the chocolate smell was from the factory with downtown being the most intense. Since the factory closed and moved down the road chocolate smell is now pumped in.

That's like Long Beach airport in California. Tiny check-in area shared by multiple airlines. Eleven gates total. No jet bridges; you have to walk up to the plane on the tarmac. One runway. We pulled up and I was like, "Are you sure this is an airport?" But much easier going from DL to Hawaii than going to LAX.

lol by small I mean no jets only small prop planes could land on that "runway", more like a long driveway. No gates as no passenger flights except private planes and the flight school. Tie downs were in the grass and did I mention no tower which really wasn't a problem because there was no traffic

They do. My grandma once flew out of there on Allegiant I believe. It was terrible and I told my aunt to never, ever do that again; put her on BWI on Southwest from now on.
I stand corrected. Flights in and out of there seem to change all the time since forever. and yes the airport sucks one and done! I've taken Amtrack there and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!!!!!!!!!!! I'd much rather drive into Hershey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus having the car means I get to do shopping in the Lancaster area:angelic: As far as commercial flights go Allentown and Scranton aren't much better from what I hear
