But that 1969 Dodge HEMI Daytona just went for $800,000!! What a nice looking car in the "Hemi orange", with that black spoiler on the back! 🥰

(And a while ago, that 2020 McLarens Senna GTR (different from the McLarens earlier today). Talk about a sports car! Bidding is still going on, beyond $1 million!

@MinnieM123 , the other thing that amazes me about these classic and antique automotive works of art, is that they were created without the aid of modern graphic systems such as CAD, 3-D modeling, etc.
All hand drafted/rendered…just amazing…!!! :)
But, at the same time, I can definitely relate…
Us older dudes that started out hand drafting still wonder how we ever made any money, back in the day. If a client wanted to add 3’ to a living room in the center of the house, and there was a second floor above, both velum sheets on that side of the house had to be erased and redrawn, which was extremely time-consuming.
These days, we just turn on all layers, window the portion we want to stretch, and BOOM…!!!!! :hilarious:
It’s a little more complicated than that, with all the components involved, but, you get the general idea…!!! :)
Just amazing pieces of art they produced back then, with the tech (or lack thereof) they had at their disposal…!!! :)

Hope you two can attend, at the Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. (I'm assuming that's a very large venue, so hopefully, lots of seating for visitors in the auction area.) From what I've seen from past auctions (on TV), the best days are definitely Friday and Saturday, regardless of the city they're in.) Oh, speaking of Dallas ---

Matt the Hat would fit in there quite nicely! :joyfull:
