Fireworks
We had fireworks between 3 - 5pm. Not sure how much rain but the weather service had a flood warning an hour before it ended saying we had 2 - 3 inches of rain already. Oh you meant the colorful fireworks. ;)

Only a few loud booms in my area last night. I'm thinking that the nutcases that used to set off a lot of these in the past (at all hours), have moved away. YES!!! :D
As annoying as things were over the weekend they are just far enough away to be just a little annoying. The ones who were much closer and very annoying moved. They were close enough that people from their parties would wander into my yard and vomit every few parties. They were so bad the neighbors called the cops on them starting 15 minutes after what would be considered a proper hour to quiet things down a bit otherwise they'd go until dawn several times each summer not caring what day of the week they were doing so:banghead:

DH's favorite T-shirt has seen better years and he's hoping to find a replacement. Short of customizing do any of you know of a company with a large selection of shirts? I'm hoping he can find one he likes just as much

Hot Topic for anything pop culture. They have tons of t-shirts.

B also got some very nice ones off Amazon.

Saw another very comedy filled job offer in LinkedIn.

"Low, entry position, high school equivalent"

Then it requires you to do Linux management, services, certificates..etc.. something that you'd only get from a bachelor minimum and 5 years of experience or more with multiple certs.

For cherry on top.. "Pay with no benefits" :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

And dont forget the "fast pacing environment, must have always positive attitude and work as a team".

By experience, let me translate for you guys:

  1. We will squeeze you for every inch of your work time with no time to slowdown.
  2. We will abuse you verbally and so will the clients. You will have to accept it and still be courteous.
  3. You will need to take work from others and work above and beyond. Including overtime with no compensation "for the team".

So glad I'm out of the job market. I used to have to read through idiotic job postings like that. It was infuriating.

I fell under 1&3. I got paid a salary, answered emails, texts, phone calls on my days off, evenings after a long workday , and our company even supplied us meals so we could eat at our desks and not have to leave the campus to go out to eat. The pay was very good though. Some of the items missing was a full size gym, shower facility , massages at work, laundry facilities , doctor and dentist visits to the workplace similar to what Google employees have when some of them work 80-90 hours per week.

On the good side you got paid well and had lots of services. This "offer" had all bad and nothing good.

I call it earning more income also by not spending . If I had to pay for numerous cups of Starbucks drinks, breakfast , snacks, lunch on a daily basis out of my own pocket that would amount to approx $50 per day or $250 per week. The productivity was all good in that we did not have to leave the workplace and even our desks since company provided perks were in place.
