There was never a class reunion for my high school class unless that was somehow virtual despite not making sense. I said not making sense because the year I graduated had a 7 as the final number.

I graduated in 1980. We had a 5 year class reunion and a twenty year class reunion, and both were fun…!!! :)
At our 20 year reunion a classmate had already had a quadruple bypass at age 38. Crazy thing is, he had always been (and still was) this skinny little dude who was a drummer for a favorite high school rock band (they played our class song - Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Freebird” - at our graduation)…heredity, I guess…?
Anyhoo, no more class reunions after our 20th, and May was 43 years.

My ten year is coming up. It's on black Friday and they have the venue. They announced it last month.

This is what happens when you graduated with a bunch of type a personalities.
Sounds like a good excuse to skip it ! ;) (Actually, I never went to any class reunions, and didn't care. Yet, some people really enjoy them. So maybe if you're interested, you could do a bunch of shopping first, and then go over to the reunion venue, after that.) :)

I attended my 50th reunion 7 years ago. I kinda dreaded it but an old friend and classmate convinced me to attend. I missed out on who traveled the furthest by 80 miles. I really enjoyed seeing and talking with old friends and acquaintances and even my high school sweetheart. Someone I hadn't heard from in almost that entire 50 years and now we keep in touch via occasional e-mails. Some was sad as we went over the list of people no longer with us and one seriously emotional where one person who traveled from NC to be there in late stages of cancer. She wanted to see friends for the last time. (she passed away 5 weeks after the reunion.)

My biggest shock was how everyone was so freaking old. I marveled at how I had managed to look the same and everyone else aged. 🤔👴 I was glad I attended it and I'm pretty sure that will be the last one unless they have a 75th Reunion and we will all be in our 90's. Instead of applause we can all just rattle our walkers.

My 45th was last year. We didn’t go. We went to the 5 and 10. Just didn’t enjoy it that much. They did say I looked the same 🤣

I was a late bloomer (I also graduated in May of ‘80 at age 17, and didn’t turn 18 until the following October), so I definitely looked different at our 5 year anniversary. I was at least 2 inches taller, and much huskier. Some classmates didn’t even recognize me…!!!!! :hilarious: :hilarious:;)

So longtime bestie and I graduated at the same time. Her husband also graduated at the same time, but she didn't know him in high school. He also has a twin. So whether any of us go is dependent upon if one of us says "Ah, let's go". 🤣 But I think we're all indecisive at this point.
