Instant Pot and Pyrex filed for bankruptcy
Yikes. Pyrex has been around since 1915.

As for Insta-Pot, I don't care. Bought one a few years ago and rarely use it. Unlike my crock pot (slow cooker), there are too many steps to recipes in Insta-Pot, too long to wait for the pressure to build up, and then a long cool down of pressure. Yah, I hate the thing.

We love the ones we have. Currently we have three 8quart and one 3 quart and have had all 4 going at once but it's usually just one or 2 at a time. I like I can just get stuff out of my freezer and have soup or stew in a couple of hours and the fact I don't have to soak beans over night. IMHO it's less steps to use one compared to regular cooking methods
That said I think they'll survive the restructuring, Revlon did and they were in far worse shape

Boiled eggs come out perfect too.

I'm kind of surprised about Pyrex With people moving away from plastics, I would have thought glassware was on track to make more of a comeback. I love my Pyrex containers.
I've done a little diving into the situation and it seems they went heavy into thinking the trends of buying kitchen gear would stay the same after the beginning of 2020 but they have since made some adjustments and still need to make some more but they should be able to weather this situation. From what I read since yesterday it seems to be somewhat strategic to file for better financing terms and conditions. IP is still a strong brand with a good reputation and so is Pyrex
