When I grew up very poor I remember simple well prepared food , I would not be surprised tomato pie growing up in Philly brought back memories to some who still love eating it. My friend from Poland told me stories of many who were poor in Poland surviving on eating perogies. . Now the food item is served in many varieties in a polish restaurant and even sold frozen in grocery stores. I enjoy the food item when I had little to no money and with my financial situation much improved I still enjoy .
