The closest to Deep Dish Pizza I recalled having was Pizza Hut. I am more of thin crust person for pizza.

My dad is not a Chicago Style pizza person. His was not at a Pizza Hut at all. I am under the impression he had it in the 60s or 70s and didn't like that style. He's more into the thin crust pizza.

I am sure mom didn't have Deep Dish Pizza growing up or in College. While My Mom lived in Small cities or villages, I know show had pizza at least in her college days in Appleton, Wisconsin at a place called Frank & Pat's Pizza. It was a great pizza place known for thin crust. I went there growing up when it was renamed Frank's Pizza Palace.
Pizza Hut doesn't do chicago deep dish. It is almost all dough, and not the good stuff.

We have 2 locations of a local place here that specializes in deep dish pizza, called Conans Pizza. The first location opened down on The Drag in ‘76. Really good stuff…!!!!! :hungry: Haven’t eaten there in a while, though.
They have a pizza called “The Savage” with everything on it.
Guess what I’m picking up for dinner on the way home from the office tomorrow…?!!! :)

Looks good, but not real Deep Dish. All you should be able to see on top is the sauce.

You have a really strange idea of cake. Just, come to Chicago, and I will get you the real deal. Not the one made in FL, by the kid who is bound to mess it up, because they don't know what it is really supposed to be. The real deal.
Giordanos by Disney Springs which I ate at is different quality than Giordanos locations in Chicago?

It could be Worse. Papa John's or Disney Pizza is worse pizza than Pizza hut.
I said Disney Pizza because I remembered once in the 2010s at the Port Orleans French Quarter food court I order pizza and gaged after eating it.

That pizza was even worse than Papa John's. I once had Papa John's pizza back in the 90s, and it was tasteless.

No Janeway road trip I have what we need for picket signs and frying pans:angelic:
They had better have Janeway and I need to know what happened to Tuvok! Tom and B'Elanna's daughter would also be the right age if they wanted to do a REAL next gen show. Also, are they ever going to tell us who Geordi married?

Our Papa John's is pretty good. You pretty much have to order thin crust from them. I only order from them when I can get a deal (they do 50% off if the Orioles score more than five runs, so I had it last week). Otherwise we have a local place that has excellent pizza. I also ordered from them when I had COVID because I was too sick to cook for myself and they're the only place close to us that delivers.

Real enough for me…!!!!! :hungry:
I still like the fact that a Texan, Ike Sewell, had a hand in creating deep dish pizza in Chicago, back in the day…!!! :)

We also have a place here called Via 313 (5 locations now), founded by two guys who moved here to Austin from Detroit.
They have a deep dish pizza called “The Detroiter” (of course ;)), that is very, very delicious…they add the fresh sauce to the top after they take it outta’ the oven…sooo darn good…!!!!! :hungry:
