The more I read about US business. The more I notice how anti worker these companies are.It just seems wrong....ungrateful, I guess. The company started in a woman's attic with just her and one employee and we've had to move to bigger warehouses twice, there are over 300 employees now, and it's a multi-million dollar business. I was one of the first employees with the big hire...we all have an employee number based on the order in which we were hired. They are in the thousands now and I was like 126. The work I've put into that company for YEARS, training new people, and it's because of US that it has gotten such a good reputation and that it's made millions, and they don't even come and say good luck? Talk about corporate greed and arrogance. Oh well. As @MinnieM123 said, good riddance. I hope they totally bomb. The company that took us over hadn't made a profit in several years up until Corona when everyone was forced to buy online because physical stores were closed. That's the only reason they made a profit, and it wasn't even a large profit. I think it was only like 1 or 2 million, and there company was several times larger than ours, and our profit was something like 15 mil. That's the only reason they wanted to acquire our business...it was hugely profitable. But they are running it into the ground already and it's only been a year and a half.

Just a few hours drive south is Seattle which is a nice place to visit too.Yup, Port Moody hopefully, which is next to Vancouver.
Yeah, otherwise you'll be like...Thank you!
And Indeed!
Hopefully I will have a chance to get there to buy supplies for winter before it starts.

It really isn't that cold in Vancouver. Now if he were going to Quebec or even Ontario that would be the case, but Vancouver is Canada's tropics in a way. For him it will be quite an adjustment, but it doesn't require long underwear.Yeah, otherwise you'll be like...

In Vancouver, the summers are short, comfortable, and partly cloudy and the winters are long, very cold, wet, and mostly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 35°F to 73°F and is rarely below 24°F or above 80°F. Cool but not the Arctic.
There is the problem. I am not on canada, and they dont sell winter gear by my zone and the person who is going to rent me his suite still has not answered if I can send stuff in advance. Now is a good time to look for winter gear and light winter jackets on websites, a lot of places have clearance going on right now.
Anyone with even a modicum of blood circulation will not need thermals.bring the thermals
Are you implying something?Anyone with even a modicum of blood circulation will not need thermals.
As I said before, I make statements, you decide the intent. Are you implying something?
I am so sorry they were jerks. They didn’t appreciate their employees very much. Hope you get the most wonderful job in the world!I'm officially done with my job. 14.5 years with this company, last night was my last shift, and they did NOTHING for me. Not a card, not a handshake, not anything. And it was also my supervisor's last day and they did nothing for her either. No one came to wish us luck with future jobs or to thank us for the years we gave to the company. There were only 10 of us there last night, and everyone of us now has a week or 2 to find a job before the evening shift is gone. And they don't even bother to thank us for years of working there. Just unceremoniously tell us they don't need us anymore, buhbye, and shove us out the door.
And it is nice and warm here. Bring your tank and thin tees. Today felt like July!Woke up to snow. Luckily, none of it stuck, but still.
Current temp 43, real feel 36. 4 days until sunshine and Mickey.
Wait I thought he already was “mad”?!Nope, he'sslowlyquickly descending into madness.
Well, this is in the Netherlands, not the US. But yeah, this one business definitely seems to not be kind to the workers. The more I read about US business. The more I notice how anti worker these companies are.
