I am not surprised considering how your dad is.It was Mom, lol. Yup, total generational flip.
These are the same people who never watched Star Wars until I made them.
Yeah, my dad is strange. My uncle, his younger brother, was crazy about Star Wars, which is probably why he never watched it. My uncle was so crazy about it that my grandma went to see it in theaters with him because she wanted to know what all the fuss was about.I am not surprised considering how your dad is.
My parents first watched the original Star Wars in the movie theater or a drive-in theater back in 1977 as a married couple. I don't know which way since they never mentioned how they saw the movie. I was not alive when Star Wars: A New Hope first came out. My mom was not pregnant with me either back when that movie was in movie theaters in 1977.
My parents were the ones who introduced my younger brother and I to Star Wars. They are fans of the franchise, but do not like Episode 8 and 9 at all.
Btw Starwarsgirl, did you notice that on the latest episode of Picard they did show the golden ring effect which was missing in the previous episode?Yeah, my dad is strange. My mom would have been 11 when it came out. I call this a sad Mom story. She asked her parents to go see it. Her mom said no, they would wait for it to come out on tape. Well, her mom told her that it didn't come out on Betamax. Years and years later, I determined that this was a lie. Thanks to the internet. So my mom never bothered to see it. It wasn't until, you guessed it, my uncle introduced it to me when I was 14 that she finally sat down and watched the originals with me. Now she can tell you the names of the planets when we ride Star Tours, though she says most of her knowledge of Star Wars has been learned against her will.
Audrey's expression . . .
My mom hated planes too so my dad used to drive to Disney when we were kids. Horrible. Sometimes two or three days just to get there.
I remember those photos -- if I recall correctly, I think that was a birthday gift to you from the family?I’ve loved to fly as far back as I can remember. Everything from large jet airliners, to a Lockheed Constellation, to a DC-3/C-47, to a helicopter, to the gyroplane pictured below.
Did I mention I LOVE to fly…?!!!!!
