Depending upon the show and the network, commercial time has grown over the years. I've found that when I've DVR'd a 2-hour show and watched it afterwards, often I can knock off (up to) 30 minutes of commercials by fast forwarding through them. That's how bad it is now (again, depending upon individual show/network). :cautious:

Crazy thing is, the movie had been blocked out for a 3-hour time slot on SYFY, even though the original movie only has a 2 hour and 9 minute run time…that’s 51 minutes left over for commercials, not including any scenes/portions of scenes they may have edited out.
Just nutso…!!!!! 🤪

I mean, they delivered it here. Nicely placing it was obviously too much to ask...
Around here, 90% of the packages are thrown up to the porch (it's just 3 steps up from the sidewalk). I think part of the reason is that the delivery guys take a photo of the package, in view of the street number, to protect them -- in case a customer said a package wasn't delivered.

Problem for us and the people on the other side of the building, is that we're so close to the street, that it would take about 2 seconds for an porch pirates to grab a box and run. That issue could easily be avoided, if the delivery guys would just push the box aside about 3--4 feet, behind a railing, on the porch. But that would take a few seconds extra time -- they're just concerned with unloading packages in as quick a time period as possible.

AAA sends out random articles about travel, restaurants, etc. This morning. I was reading about some of the higher end restaurants at WDW. One of them, Monsieur Paul, is located above Chefs de France. It's a prix fixe at $195/pp, and it includes: two cocktails, an hors d’oeuvre, fish course, palate cleanser of sorbet and brandy, meat course, cheese course and dessert. Granted, I usually don't keep up with TS restaurants on property, but somehow I don't think I've even heard about this particular one. Anyone else familiar with it?

Oui. It was a one and done for me. The food and service was excellent but not a place to go with kids. I thought Chefs and Les Hailles were more relaxed and the food a less heavy

Never been there, but back during the period of social distancing, Chefs was using their space. It's a nice space up there. But the menu at Chefs (which is probably my favorite restaurant at WDW) appeals to me more. I'll occasionally shell out for a meal, but $195 is pushing it, especially for a menu that I'm not thrilled with.

Once upon a time the prices were reasonable, before the days of ADR wars
