Hey, @Figgy1 -- I created a new recipe last night! :joyfull:

Started with a little butter in the small fry pan. For an omelette, I poured in 2 whisked eggs, and threw some cheese on top (Cabot makes a package of mixed, shredded cheddar). In the frig, I had a little jar of diced onion, so I put in some. I even sprinkled a little pepper in the pan.

After 2 few minutes, I went to flip over one side, but found out when I tried to flip it, that it wasn't firm enough -- too late :jawdrop: . The eggs just ran all over the pan. Hence, I had a brainstorm -- what if I just mixed it all up and cooked it (just like scrambled eggs)?

Voila! An exciting new recipe creation -- "Minnie's "freestyle" omelette surprise" :hilarious:

I currently have rice in the IP to add to tonight's chicken soup and for fried rice on Sunday and in the dutch oven I have lentil/veggie curry simmering

Sea Day and Puerto Limon

I had never been to a Tepanyaki, so the whole show thing was a surprise for me.
I knew they would do some "stuff", but did not expect them to mount a singing show while moving eggs and throwing onions around.

Not to mention the food was delicious.

My sister and mom ordered the Surf and Turf combo while I tried the Chicken and Noodles combo.

The rice was particularly delicious.
Not to mention the servings were enormous.

So we left very full.

The hilarity is that a similar thing happened on the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure.
We all said "we are so full, we won't go to dinner today"
And we still marched to the restaurant for dinner XD

The show of that night was based on Disco music and a hotel.
And there was the start of the issues of the trip.
There were only like, 16 entertainment actors/dancers/singers for ALL the shows.

So it was 4 main singers, 2 male 2 female, 1 guest
2 strongmen, 2 speciality dancers, and 8 dancers/backup vocals. 4 female 4 male.
And they repeated similar acts on every show, which had different themes but similar stories.

My mom and sister complained that this one was the worst song wise. As the Disco beats were way too similar.

The next day was Puerto limon in Nicaragua.
And we had a day long tour to the reserve and the tortuga camp.

This tale is kinda funky because of how silly the whole thing was.

I mean, the day started just fine...
We woke up, got ready, took breakfast then got ready go to down to the tour.
Except they did not opened the doors.
We were in Deck 4 and waited.. waited.. and waited..
And they said they were delays for "security purposes".
That history fell apart when a crew member mentioned that they were unloading with priority all those who had tours made with Norwegian lol.

Everyone was about to pick a fight with the moronic "manager" who wanted to remove all the people waiting in line for "security reasons".

Luckily for him, the separator door that blocked the way to the second gangway opened and we got routed to use this door and we landed on Nicaragua.

Our tour operator was waiting for us outside in the street.
The whole place was very packed and the tiny streets made it very hard to move around.

Anyway, he shared the standard spiel and story about the town. Also the whole issue of volcanoes and quakes.
How it was formed and the places we were going.

Now as we moved out, he talked about how plants, bananas mainly (my mother wanted to know, as Nicaragua supposedly exported a lot and trucks were everywhere)
And the guy was also proud of having a bunch of banana trees by his home and how proud he was about building his home and rescuing dogs.
So the weird part?
He drove us to his home lol
From far of course, not inside.. but showed us the place and also allowed me to take photos of some Sloths, which were very common everywhere.
We were sure he was making time, because even if we had the private tour, there was a coworker of his with a bus full of people from the same ship and we ended getting together near the reservation.

Now, the road was very interesting... going from streets, to mountain ranges to dirt paths and then to rockpaths.
The reserve turns out was private and maintained by a group (very similar to Mexico's Cancun's nature parks)

DSC_5755_DxO.jpg

The reserve was shock full of nature and was perched in a mountain slope, allowing you to board a large open gondola similar to Panama's.

Our driver was also very well knowleable of animals. He made some noises screaming and the nearby Sloths perked immediately.
Turns out he was using a mating call lol. (the slot from the photo above was even scratching his privates, trying to find from where the noise was coming, so clearly very interested in the "offer" from the "female" slot lol )

The reserve had also frog, spider, snakes, bats and butterfly gardens and exhibits.

We paid the entrance and we got together with all the other spanish speaking group. Which hilariously ended being all retired Mexican teachers.
Then we got split into smaller groups so we could walk around at our speed.

The place is indeed beautiful.
Only warning they give is that to be careful when touching the handrails.. as they have the dreaded bullet ants everywhere (their bite hurts almost like taking a gunshot)

The reserve also had different paths, including giant tree paths and waterfalls.

Sadly I did not see any exotic birds or animals other than the ones inside the exhibits.

Seeing the poison frogs was awesome though...

You could see the cruise in the distance.

Butterflies too..

After taking some drinks, we headed back to the nearby port. Where the Turtle camp was.
Of course I was told about the story of the fishing village, its creation as we boarded a small boat and we drove thru the canals and seeing the nature.

DSC_5785_DxO.jpg

DSC_5786_DxO.jpg

It was an interesting view to see the huge clash of civilization and the rainforest bordering.
The towering cargo port and the entrance to the canals, which usually is full of turtles at certain dates.

DSC_5795_DxO.jpg

There were plenty of Slots and Birds as well.

My mom and sister had an adventure themselves.. the Tour operator was very keen to share his knowledge.
But he ended acting like the donkey in the shrek movie where they are in the carriage before reaching FAR FAR AWAY XD

DSC_5809_DxO.jpg

One thing for sure is, that guy had the sharpest eyes I've ever noticed.
He could spot a darn lizard 100 meters away while his companions could not find anything.

DSC_5821_DxO.jpg

I was happy with him as he allowed me to take pictures of things I'd normally had no idea where there.

Like the lizard above. (Not an iguana).

Since we were near the port, it was very quick to disembark, get in the car and get to the port section.

After arriving to the port.. I was in panic. Somehow I could not find my cruise card!
I searched everywhere.
Luckily, the tour operator contacted the port captain and the port captain allowed me to enter past security into the port.
Only to find the card on my shorts a few minutes later.

Somehow the card had travele thru a hole in the seams of the short, and entered another pocked in the hardest and lowest layers of the short.
Only found after I scratched a part where I had a mosquito bite that I found the card XD

We bought some gifts and then went back to the cruise ship..

It would be nice if I didn't have to wait for a bunch of 1099s.
Sadly I haven't made enough in interest income to need one of those. Ever since Suntrust became Truist their service hasn't been nearly as good. They used to call me every quarter and talk to me about my options to make sure I was getting the most from my savings accounts. I need to eventually figure out what to do with some of that money, but the interest rates on savings are...kind of terrible right now.
