we will not have a white Christmas but here in coastal SC we will have arctic temps(for us) 17 Sat morning, 20 Christmas morning. and 20 Monday and Tuesday. I can't remember the last time we had temps that low
Up here in the NE tomorrow through................................................ Snow, ice, maybe rain, ice, snow near 0. I'm in until we run out of food, which won't be for a while as I stocked up last night

We're supposed to get a lot of wind (some rain) through Friday, early Saturday. Eversource has already sent out recorded phone messages, telling people to charge up devices, etc. -- only in case of a power outage, if tree limbs might fall, etc.

Oh, Figgy -- I changed up the Christmas meal because I went to the grocery store today to buy things, and I saw other options I liked better. (That's what usually happens, even if I have a meal idea -- I often change my mind once I see what's in the grocery store.) So I bought lamb chops, instead of chicken! :hungry:

Good luck and I hope your power stays on!
I tend to buy ahead stock the pantry and freeze what is needed for holidays which is the only way my plans ever go smoothly. It helps I have a vac sealer and chest freezers to be able to do so. I'm not sure how I'd be able to do so without them but I did order holiday roasts/turkeys and such way in advance before that.
I did notice there was quite a large selection of lamb for this time of year while I was out yesterday so I picked up some for the freezer that was on sale.
It's not so much me changing my mind but noticing a nice surprise item or 3 in the produce and finding a way to use them or in the case literal case of peppers freeze some of them

Turns out we started our Holiday Break an hour early today. A big storm was rolling in so we sent the students home an hour early, staff got to leave 30 minutes early. The temps were subzero when the snow started so the snow is light and fluffy. The snow will stop around 4 am but then the winds kick up. We aren't technically in the blizzard warning but wind gusts will achieve blizzard-like conditions. B and I have turned up the heat a little so make sure the house is warm enough for awhile in case the power goes out with the strong winds. I'm just glad we were already scheduled to be on holiday break tomorrow. So those of you wanting snow...I've got plenty.

I got plenty of snow coming in the area I live in tomorrow. Midnight is going to be around 30 degrees, but at the end of Thursday, It will be below zero degrees outside with snow.

Southeastern Wisconsin is getting a winter storm warning from 9 in the morning tomorrow till 6 in the morning on Saturday.
