Christmas Eve: 7 fishes some yet to be determined by what is at the store One will be fish and chips(dh's request), one in a red sauce, one scampi, one salad, one "fish cake", a clam sauce but still adjusting due to weather and availabilityHey @Figgy1 , since you plan ahead (unlike moi), what is your grandiose menu for Christmas dinner this year?

That's very ambitious for Xmas Eve. We've never done anything that night -- perhaps grilled cheese?Christmas Eve: 7 fishes some yet to be determined by what is at the store One will be fish and chips(dh's request), one in a red sauce, one scampi, one salad, one "fish cake", a clam sauce but still adjusting due to weather and availability
Christmas dinner rolled pork roast(ham prosciutto, mozzarella and a few secret ingredients). fresh pasta with mushroom sauce, green beans sauteed with garlic(was going to make sauteed broccoli but had to change due to shopping early due to impending storm), a large chopped salad and cookies with eggnog and wine. I'll probably also bake some winter squash some for dinner and some for soup the next day

But maybe for Christmas -- Shake N Bake for chicken, Near East (mix) rice pilaf, and maybe a salad, or maybe green beans. (I'll figure that out the day before, when I go buy some food.) Dessert is probably a pie, brought over by someone else.

I'm going to have on Christmas Day is leftovers from Christmas Eve. The reason is my younger is working this year and his work day ends at 2:45 in the afternoon with unwrapping gifts taking over 3 hours. The food is quick microwave for some food and some just grab from the table as a result. That's very ambitious for Xmas Eve. We've never done anything that night -- perhaps grilled cheese?

My Mom always says it’s older hens. They cook up tough. We’ve had some bad chicken lately too.Ok, I have a food question. I just had over two different meals one each chicken from the same package. One was baked with a breaded coating and he other was grilled on my reliable George Foreman Grill. Both were like rubber. They were tough to chew and really tasteless. I couldn't even finish the last one. I had three bites and my jaw started to hurt. Does anyone know what might have been the problem. Old chickens or were they sent to the gym to bulk up?
Congrats to him!! Even the deer are celebrating his academic achievement!![]()
