Going down we started to heard noises.
I aimed my camera and found there was a little monkey hidden in the bushes as we went down in the tram.
In completely irony of events. The tram stopped right next to a very large tree that blocked the view to the monkey. And once the gondolas started moving again... the monkey was gone XD

In the other hand, we saw a few animals, including what seems to be a in-between a Capibara and a rat.

Interesting point of this animal is.. it looks very similar ( Coati) to the ones I captured in Cancun with my camera. The ones in Cancun were reddish, this one was more like a muted brown.

A bit disappointed to miss the monkey.

Anyway we got back to rest a bit more on the room (sis and mom) while I went again upstairs to view for birds.
As soon I got my huge lens out, a gentleman from the US was like "holy sh.." when they saw my lens.. which can be quite long when fully extended.

We talked a bit about glass, he was a Canon shooter.

After he left with his family.. I managed to capture this gorgeous boy.
First time I saw a Toucan with these colors so I was very happy.
And the guy was posing RIGHT INFRONT OF ME!!
So I was extremely lucky to have this kind of view.

After around 15-20 minutes. He finally flew. Weirdly I never seen this type of toucan on the entire trip.

But now I was hungry and so was my sis and mother. So we decided it was time to lunch.
Now the weirdest thing you can imagine... You see, the hotel has very decent wifi everywhere..
Except.. in the restaurant/buffet lol.
As soon we enter its like the signal falls and drops completely.
Now that is only one part. the hilarity is.. the signal returns.. when you sit.. wait for it.. IN THE LOO.
Yes, you get 95% power signal when sitting in the toilet which was very deep in the restaurant (close to the mountain side).
So I was baffled.

Then the restaurant, we had prepaid breakfasts for cheaper prices.. but everything was between 15 USD to 40 USD and it was buffet mostly.

The food was so so, They had plenty of variety of cold stuff. But the hot stuff was kind of weird.
For example, they only had one soup, 6 dishes including rice and 1 special.

Taste wise it was Ok.
But very overpriced for what it was offered. Can't complain as its the only restaurant for miles around the hotel lol.

Anyway back to taking photos I went while visiting the hotel grounds.

Where I managed to get more of these "rat-capibaras" thingies, that seemed very territorial. Aka they were fighting between themselves. It was funny to watch.

Also saw tons of the gorgeous tuxedo-like Toucans, which seemed the most usual variant. They were flying in groups around.
But kind of timid as they never got close to people and they fled instantly you get sort of close.

DSC_5155_DxO.jpg
And boy.. are they loud? when they start to "sing" they are ridiculous! their croacks sounds hilarious and I can see them getting annoying to hear every morning XD

We honestly ended sleeping most of the afternoon as we had booked a small free mini night safari.

So we only woke up to eat dinner and prepare for the Safari.

And yes, Dinner.. same restaurant, similar variety of food.. same price XD

Will continue later on!.

I'm in a ski club and it's inspiring for for me with how many older members we have I'm in my 40s and I'm youngster with this group
I'm sure there are many older folks, not my age I think, old bones don't heal well. I just simply hate winter, skis or no skis. Never thought it would be fun to slide down a mountain with a couple sticks strapped to my feet. I know many people do, just not me. As for yourself, I really hope that you have many more fun years on the slopes. I just got sick of the amount of snow produced in Vermont all those years. There can always be to much of a good thing.

The weather's getting cold anyone else excited about ski season?
Nope. I never skied in my life and I have no plans on. My body would tell me try skiing is not a great idea at this point in my life.

I am at the point that my old injuries act up in certain types of weather and taking a chance of getting more injuries to my lower body is not a good idea. I have bad knees. I had a hip that got fractured back in mid 1990s and my body gets reminded of that with that hip acting up once in a while.
