Are you spending Christmas there, or is this just a weekend getaway for you? By the way, what are you getting the cats for Christmas? ;)
My grandma, my little cousin (my aunt's granddaughter, one of the ones who lives with her for a while) and I are flying down Saturday morning. We'll spend some time with my aunt and my cousins, and then my parents drive down on Wednesday. They'll pick me up on Wednesday and we'll go to the Disney Hilton Head resort for like two nights, and then we'll all go to another resort on Hilton Head for about another week.

We've been going to Hilton Head over Christmas since I was in high school with various people, usually family. I think we've spent like one Christmas at home in the past 15 years or so. My dad is the type of person who is unable to relax when he's at home; even on Thanksgiving, he spends the morning blowing leaves. Going away forces him to relax.

As for the cats...they have enough stuff. 🤣 My parents banned me from bringing any more cat toys into their house, so they only way they get new stuff is if they break the stuff they currently have...like when they finally destroy the toys that go at the end of their wand toys and I have to replace the.

@Songbird76 , I just remembered that last Friday was your birthday! Sorry I'm late with this, but I hope you had a great birthday celebration, and many more in the years to come!

Has anyone heard of Pleasure Island? I hadn’t until I came across it looking for Submarine Voyage stuff. Apparently it was one of the MANY “Disneyland of the East” theme parks, located in Massachusetts. Open from 1959 through 1969. They had a Moby Dick boat ride with an animatronic that would have been happily at home in the Submarine Voyage.

Anyways…there has been discussion for years about whether Moby was or was not still under the pond. Some guy bought an underwater drone and discovered that it was still down there, untouched for 53 years. This is pretty cool.

Just something cool I wanted to share.
