Our state distributed a budget rebate. (Originally, I figured we'd apply it toward an upcoming utility bill. ) But. we came to our senses, and --
We took the money and went to an upscale restaurant for lunch!
Between the two of us, we chowed down the following: onion soup with melted gruyere cheese; filet mignon with Bearnaise sauce,; baked stuffed jumbo shrimp; macaroni and cheese with added lobster; steak fries; seasonal veggie salad; and -- for dessert -- creme brulee, and cheesecake!

You know you can make that for a quarter of the price in the amount of time it would have taken to get to the restaurant eat and return home and it would be better if you made it yourself. Did, had some "eventful" stuff too.
Also never imagined Panama would be that expensive.
The taxi prices that are arbitrarily set too high makes Orlando feel cheap.
Imagine, 70 USD was the average asking price of the taxis in any touristic spot.
Uber was 19 USD.
So you make the math.
