Delta has a very good program for children on the autism spectrum, to help familiarize them with the entire experience at the airport . The program for the children, with their parents, guides them from the check in area, to security, to boarding a plane, etc.

It's a step in the right direction but airlines also need to make sure EVERYBODY can load and unload without difficulties. There are still wayyyyy toooo many stories about passengers being stuck on planes because they have no access to a wheelchair due to their chair having to be checked

Clocks went back an hour last night. Correct? I am at a hotel and my wife is still sleeping. As I post this I think the current time is 8:10 EST. Is that correct?
Now it is approaching 9am. I googled this topic and I am sure that I am on the new adjusted time. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Daylight savings time change mean the bars at 2am open for another hour and one more hour of drinking. More income for bars and more dangerous it is to be on the road after 2am.
Not everywhere as by law in some places bars can not change clocks while open. They neither lose an hour in spring or gain one in fall.

Yeah, I've experienced this with my grandma. Not the unloading part, but she needs wheelchair assistance in the airport. So one time she deplaned and was waiting for a wheelchair and it never came. She just decided she would walk through to bag claim where we were waiting. 🤦‍♀️

Lesson learned: if someone (including one of the great grandkids) is flying with her, we don't worry about a gate pass and just wait for her at bag claim. If no one is there with her, we get a gate pass and meet her at the gate.

We've also had issues where we've been stuck waiting for a wheelchair because they simply don't have enough.

The first time that woman was going to fly after her husband died, she thought she was going to drive herself to the airport, go through on her own and meet my aunt in SC. I was like, uh, no you're not. She realized after I went with her that it would've been a terrible idea.
