So at work I've been looking at Disney youtube videos I subscribe to and also on this forum. A friend of mine sits near me and looks over my shoulder. She doesn't understand my annual WDW trips or the Disney hoopla in general so Monday night I look over to her and ask her if she has ever gone. She said yes her parents took her to DL as a little girl. I then look right her and ask her if she has a favorite character. She blushes and looks down at her hands and says yes. I ask who it is, not was, but is. She says Minnie Mouse. :inlove: Even the toughest hard shell has a gooey center when it comes to Disney.

Why Jennifer, why do you only have 4 wings?

Well - I don't like Sweet Chile Thai - too spicy. I didn't like the whiskey whatever ones - too smoky weird. So that left salt & pepper and garlic butter parm.
And here's where I get really fussy ....
I only eat the flatties, not the drummies.

With milk, of course. :hilarious:

Walt Disney is my hero. I didn't have much of a Father growing up and weird as it may seem I saw Walt Disney as a Father figure. I would stay up late to watch Walt present Disneyland/The Wonderful World of Color and think to myself "I wish I had a Dad like that." Maybe the whole thing is silly but that's why I care so much about what happens to his company. It's clear to me that Disney currently isn't living up to the standard he set and I feel like I have to call the company out on that.

I'm glad you shared that when you were a child, watching Walt Disney and his shows, was so comforting to you. I can well understand how you looked up to him. He presented his shows with class and creativity. He was brilliant. I also like how you are loyal to his legacy, and speak up in support of your beliefs.

And, although "some" changes in the parks over the years haven't been pleasant at all (in my opinion), the one thing that I doubt will ever change too much, will be the solid foundation that Walt and his creative team developed for both DL and WDW. So even as Disney management changes over the years, and new ideas get introduced (both good and bad), I still don't think we'll see many drastic changes from his original concept.

Thanks for saying that. I was hesitant about sharing that personal bit of information because I thought it might sound odd.

No, it didn't sound odd at all. We all have our stories to tell, of the various situations we've encountered in our lives. I thought it was nice that you liked and trusted your fellow forum members enough, to give us a glimpse of why you admired Walt Disney and his dreams so much.

Also, flowers everywhere!
I'm amazed that they grow so much even in areas where they hardly take care of them.. (in this case.. the center area of a very transited avenue )
