I don't mind rain but downpours and windy...go away. Still windy today but it seems that's the new thing fall/winter here now.

I'm a giant chickenright now I'm afraid to turn out the lights because the thunderstorms tolling through have been so bad my house shook and every few minutes it looks like there's a fireball outside
At least with all the shaking I've been doing I'm not as cold had it been a calm night
I don't do well with storms. They terrify me. Hopefully it's more calm now!!

So we have this old Java based application that we're still using. Because it's Java and it's stupid, it decided to lock me out on Friday. "Security reasons." I called IT; they spent 45 minutes messing with my computer and then said they needed to do some research and get back to me. Well, I couldn't do my job without this application; it's how we put in journal entries, access AP stuff, etc. So I did some Googling and played with it and bypassed the security issue.
Today I got a message from IT: we're sorry we haven't figured out the issue yet; we think we know what it is! I told them I already fixed it and here's what to do. They told me that was exactly what they were going to do. Oh good, you figured it out three business days AFTER I did.

The remains of Ian sat on top of us since last Saturday and while it was mostly just grey we did have some steady rain but nothing to bad until he decided to finally get moving away from us and gift us one of the worst thunderstorms I've ever seen. btw I go to Florida in summer and never seen any as bad there
