I've gotten to the age where most every one I see outside of my senior apartment complex is younger than I am. As far as the residents here I would be afraid to ask their age for fear of finding out that they are the same age or younger. I can't handle that type of revelation. I prefer to deal with younger people and pretend that I am their age.

Honestly about 25 years ago I used to hang out with a bunch of guys at work and never once felt uncomfortable about our ages. In fact, it never occurred to me that we weren't all about the same age. Then one day, one of them said, "I thought your name was familiar and then it dawned on me that I was in the same class with your daughter in grammar school." My youngest one at that! That one hit me like ton of bricks.

Yep, at the firm I’m just slightly younger than 2 of the partners. The rest of the 30 or so others are younger than I. Most, substantially younger. Most are either engaged, recently got married, or recently started a family. They are our kiddos ages.
Perspective…what a concept…!!!!! :D:hilarious:;)

Actually, I did stir it A LOT -- and it still was oily and drippy. Oh well, back to buying only Skippy or Jif. (They both have a natural one, but it doesn't involve stirring and doesn't separate into oil.)
Totally understand. We got some brand last year. I stirred that thing forever. It never did mix up. That’s when I got the Sam’s choice brand.

If it makes you feel any better, you're only 10 years older then my oldest daughter! ;) :)

I use the heated seat option once in a while. The higher end cars have massage and cooling seats. I wonder what that would be like , never experienced it.
My 2005 Cadillac Deville had that and so much more. I loved that car, but for all it's high cost it was expensively sickly! In it's last 5 years it cost me over 10K in "minor" repairs until the last two (count um' 2) head gaskets went south, at the same time, and the repair cost would have been $6500.00. That was the end of my caring and I sold it, as is, and went the VW route. I miss the car but not the expense.

PS.. I told the person I sold it to about the head gaskets. He felt it was no problem. You have to understand that it was in perfect condition other than that. I thought he was mechanical, but it turns out he wasn't and it ended up a very classy looking lawn ornament. I suspect it has either been revived by someone else or has been sold for parts or gone to the big parking lot in the sky by now.

This was it...

IMHO cooling seats aren't worth it as I'd never use them and massaging seats are distracting
I never used the heating seat, but I did use the cooling ones to prevent swamp butt. 🥵 The massaging seats weren't really distracting. It was a gentle roller type thing that just moved lightly up and down to relieve back stress while sitting for long distances. Nothing to moan about. 🤭

The Land Rover Discovery has a heated windshield option . Isn’t that what your normal heat defroster supposed to do ?
The heat defroster takes longer. There may be one stalled in the windshield, but I have never seen one. That BTW means nothing! There are a massive number of things that I have never seen. They are getting to be pretty much standard equipment in the rear window.

Heated windshield , heated mirrors etc, more things to go wrong when out of warranty. I’m happy driving my V6 stick, naturally aspirated engine, no GPS, have a sunroof maybe used it once . None of that turbo, hybrid , CVT, EV, automatic for me.
