OMG -- do you actually go outside in 105 degree weather?!! (Not to mention, the "real feel" of 112??!!) :jawdrop: I was watching the national news last night, and there was a report about this intense heat wave down in your area and across a number of adjacent states. Yikes.

The short answer is yes.
I’ve mowed our yards before many times in trip-digit heat, but, not so much anymore.
I definitely went outside during our all-time record high 112* days in Sept. of ‘00 and Aug. of ‘11, as I wanted to feel what it felt like…!!!!! :hilarious:
I’ve posted this before, but, the hottest temp I’ve ever been in was 118* in Tucson, AZ back in the mid 1970’s…but, yes, it was a dry heat…!!!!! :D🤣
A Blue Norther (cold front ;)) musta’ blew through last night, as we only got up to 100 here today…!!!!! :coldfeet::cold::D:hilarious:

Current temp below…!!! :)

I’ve visited Houston and San Antonio in July. It is so brutally hot these cities make Central Florida feel like spring weather . The Mexican food and barbeque are tops !

Yep, myself and my next youngest bro were both born (‘62 and ‘64, respectively) in San Antonio. We didn’t have central air, or even a window unit, at the time. I do remember we had this old cooling unit on a stand that you poured cold water into and a fan blew across the water to bring some cooler air into the room.
Houston, bein’ so close to the Gulf, is like a sauna in the summer.
But, yes, all of Texas is pretty hot this time of year.
