@FutureCEO , will you be watching any of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations today? (I realize you're working during the day, but aside of the early morning viewing, you might be able to catch some of the late afternoon festivities. ) I tried to check the schedule for our area, and coverage on network and other TV stations, is sporadic. However, there may be streaming options (not sure which ones) that might be more convenient for you, depending upon your own schedule today.

I watched some this morning. Some of the trooping of the color to the end (balcony). The only TV station that had it on was Fox....the most I have ever watched the station.

OMG are you and your brother ok? As for flying each level of license has different requirements but all require a physical and there's a difference in the physical required for different licenses. Also much of what's taught is what can go wrong and how to manage that situation. From what I've heard not including taking off and landing which are the hardest parts of flying, flying is easier than driving unless you really hate math then weight and balance along with wind triangles are a pita.

I’ve posted the cruise ship Captain info before, but, I found the comparison between their training and a commercial airline pilot interesting…

Just a suggestion that I used to highlight when I taught defensive driving. If you are in the right lane when vehicles are merging, if you have room move to the left lane. Yes, you have the right of way, but vehicles, especially large ones, have blind spots and cannot always see you and having the right of way will not keep you alive. There are many tombstones that could read... "But... I had the right of way". One of many little tricks we taught to avoid accidents instead of just reacting to either bad drivers or even legit reasons.

Yep, as I’ve posted before, similar advice came from my Pop decades ago…
“Having the right of way doesn’t make you any less dead.”
Another one was…
“Green doesn’t mean go. Green means clear yourself in all directions, then go.”
