Just heard that the "average" gas price now in Boston area has jumped up to $4.16 a gallon. That's even higher than the national (high) average today.

Luckily I don't drive a lot, but I filled up last Tuesday and it was $3.89. I don't know what it is now but the news out of Minneapolis was saying it was around $4.16. I am glad that I already bought my summer vacation flights, a couple months ago as I think airlines will need to bump up prices to cover fuel increases. In fact, I just looked and my June/July flight to Orlando is now currently double what I paid a couple months ago.

Perfect excuse from big company producers to raise prices and make bank after the loses of the pandemic. All artificial in this cases.. as they just need to increase production to reduce costs.

I hear gas is $4.40 a gallon in New Jersey due to the last state that customers are not allowed to pump their own gas, state law but talk is that may change in the future.

$8.38 a gallon here ...
$8.97 in Arnhem on Saturday, but I heard it went up by quite a bit right after we tanked up. We paid 2.18 euro per Liter that morning, but they said on the news that it was at 2.34 per liter I think? later in the day. And we also go to the cheapest one. Normally I get gas in Germany when I go to work, since my work is less than a kilometer from the border and there's a gas station like a mile in. But I was sick on Thursday and Friday, and didn't go to work, so I didn't get gas. I'll need to fill up the tank tonight when I go in, so I'll look and see what it is in Germany...it's consistently 20 cents cheaper than here.

And it's been that way in Europe since the 60's. We just aren't used to those prices, but right now it is the least we can do to help the courageous people of Ukraine.
Oh it's gotten WAY worse here since the invasion. We were around $6-7 per gallon for quite a while. When I first moved here, it was around $9, but that was because the conversion to the Euro was different. 2 months ago, I paid 1.67 per liter, and now we're up to 2.18, maybe more. That's quite an increase.

Ours has gone up 47 cents in the past week in our area. Every time I drive by I dread what it’s going to be. It’s currently $3.96. 🙁

I went to Boston last Thursday. Gas was 3.59 at a gas station near my place. Driving home that day, it was 3.79. Not sure what is now but I'm sure it's around 4.15 but I'll report in on Thursday.
