@ImperfectPixie -- how much additional snow did you end up getting last night? From yesterday through last night, I think we got around 6 inches (it was only forecasted to be 1 . . . ). Shoveled last night, and this morning it was all covered back in. However, it was light and fluffy, at 4:30 this morning when I went out there, so I knocked out the front steps, sidewalk and back of driveway in only 20 minutes. Easy peasey.
I never watch football, let alone the Super Bowl. However --I thought it was well done and very stylish but I'm not sure how I feel about Mary J Blige's silver leopard outfit as metallics are fine as are animal prints but metallic animal prints may be a bit over the top. That being said I wish it would have been a more eclectic mix of artists to have a bit of something for everyone
According to Mr. Google most modern shows had several performers with a few exceptionsI never watch football, let alone the Super Bowl. However --
I do watch the halftime shows only. I wanted to see the show last night because I know practically nothing about hip hop music, and I knew that they had some big name performers (I'm familiar with the faces of the musicians, but not so much the actual music). Anyway, I thought the show was entertaining; something different anyway.
That said, I agree with you, Figgy, that I'd prefer a mix of different music for a wider audience. Yet, when I recalled some past halftime shows, I think they usually lean toward maybe 1-2 headliner stars, at the most. (Examples, Prince, Madonna, Katy Perry, others -- and they'd all have their own style of music, so to speak) If I'm wrong, jump in here. I haven't seen all the halftime shows, but a number of them from various years.
Not many riots after SB. One infamous fan riot was the 10 cent beer night riot at an MLB game against the Indians and Rangers in 1974. The home team Cleveland fans fueled by 10 cent beer night rioted and stormed the field in a drunken state.I never watch football, let alone the Super Bowl. However --

That's interesting. Part of my response (about some of the previous shows) was a discussion I had with hubs last night -- he was also saying that many of the shows he's seen stuck with 1-2 headliners only. (Neither one of us watch football to begin with, so what do we know? )According to Mr. Google most modern shows had several performers with a few exceptions
I have never been but Mrs @Swarls Barkley has visited a few times. She says it is very cool inside@Swarls Barkley , I recently came across an article about Victor Hugo, and saw that he had a home on Guernsey (historical / open to public ), called Hauteville House. Saw some photos of the interior --wow! Have you and Mrs. Barkley visited there?
