It’s an engine break-in recommendation from the manufacturer.
I did find that there is at least one car that you can take directly to the track and drive the carp outta’ it when you buy it new…the Acura NSX.
Before they even install it in the car, they run the engine at varying loads and speeds up to no more than 4,000 RPM for the equivalent of 150 miles.
But, that’s a rare exception.

Wow , the Acura NSX can go 0-60mph in about 3 seconds. If one rides RnR Coaster at DHS, at launch bay when the ride vehicle launches into the rest of the track , the ride goes from 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds or what a Lamborghini Aventador can do. It is a complete rush to the senses.

Yep, I’ve ridden it many times, and the launch is definitely a rush, thanks to the linear induction motor system.
My ‘85 Mustang GT was rated at a 0-60 of 6.4 secs., and back then I thought that was pretty quick, but, these days so many cars will blow that into the dust.
A Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (production motorcycle) will do 0-60 in 2.35 secs….pretty crazy.

A number of years ago a young girl on the West Coast set up a table by a marijuana dispensary store that had the customers lined up outside to buy product. The Girl Scout sold all of her sweets and cookies to the nearby customers. That's one smart girl! It was an unidentified 9 year old in San Diego who sold 300 boxes in 6 hours.

Her mother was in some hot water over that one. People were threatening to have her daughter taken away because they felt it was irresponsible to let the girl sell outside of a place where they sell drugs. I remember seeing it in the news.

I don’t remember any prizes, just cookie credits.
But, as I posted, they could use the cookie credits for camp, stuff from the shop at the council headquarters, stuff from the store at Camp Texlake, etc.
Both Megan and Sarah moved up (bridged) every time they were supposed to. I don’t remember any drama regarding such.
I remember attending the bridging ceremonies.
The Service Unit had this cute little wooden foot bridge built that they had on stage that the girls walked across to “bridge”…!!! :)
We did the same thing. Someone local made the bridge for us. I walked across it when I bridged over to Juniors.

Taken away for what? The place in San Diego legally sold drugs to customers . One with a business brain probably thought that was a unique way to sell Girl Scout cookies ( like 300 boxes in 6 hours ).

For negligence. That seems to be the go-to threat...."I'm going to call child protective services and tell them you are an irresponsible parent and they need to take your kids away!" Who knows whether or not it would work, but there's no such thing as a perfect parent....everyone makes mistakes. Best not to get child protective services involved in your family if you can help it. You don't know who it will be who comes to investigate and what prejudices they may have.

The TODAY show took a poll when the story broke in 2018 if viewers approved of the girl's selling of GS cookie boxes. 90% approved, 9 % dissaproved. The 9 year old was unique in that she pushed her wagon full of cookie boxes past the line of customers selling her goods to hungry customers.

Oh, I'm not saying I have a problem with it...I think it was very innovative for her to come up with that. I just know there was a lot of backlash. I guess it also kind of depends on where you live. Pot is legal here. I've never tried it, but it's not a huge deal here. But in Wyoming, people would have metaphorically stoned that poor mom. It's not like she took her daughter to a drug house or something, but people see it the way they want to see it, and there are people who just love to complain and judge other people.
