Nope, I don’t have a problem with folks still willing to pay either…the market is the market, and folks are free to do whatever they want with their money. We don’t judge, but, along with the rising prices and continuing damn-demic, oldest DD decided that they don’t need to go right now.
We saved a bunch of cash deciding to rent a house in Ruidoso, New Mexico for a few days, instead.
I’m sure I could handle it, but, I’m not them, and they need to make what they feel are the right decisions for their family. They are grown, responsible, successful adults, and it’s none of my business. Ultimately, As long as we’re together as a family, I really don’t care what “Happy Place” we’re in…!!!!!
Hopefully, Emy and Audrey will be able to build a snowman, although they were actually able to do that a coupla’ times last winter…!!!!! :hilarious:

But, yes, I don’t know how anyone can compare WDW’s (or any other Disney Park, for that matter) restaurant, concession, gift shop, etc., revenue, that’s open roughly 12-ish hours a day, 365 days a year to any sports arena, field, or stadium in the same way.
As I posted before, even an MLB season only has 81 home games outta’ 162 total games in a regular season. The NBA is even way behind with only 41 total home games in a regular season outta’ 82.
I will definitely acquiesce if somebody can show me the numbers, and I definitely ain’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but, I just don’t see how the math works out… :cyclops:;)
I missed the beginning of this discussion, just wanted to note while, yes, stadiums/arenas have more “non-show” days, they are typically multi-use venues. They book concerts, shows, conventions, those crazy DJ parties, etc. Brian worked at the Miami football stadium. They hosted a tennis tournament, Madonna, U2, “Rolling Loud,” Ultra Festival, Jazz In The Garden, etc.

People are there working every day (which means some concession stands are open for business every day as well.)

Still not as much as WDW, of course.

My secondary complaint about comparison is the dreaded inflation comparison. The "Disney has exceeded the rates of inflation". Yes, they have, but it has no basis for comparison. Inflation is measured by the cost of necessary items. Disney is not now and never was a necessity. It isn't counted in the inflation numbers because it is the a luxury item. The cost of a Rolls Royce isn't factured in either. As a luxury item it doesn't factor into what people can afford, it is governed only by what people will pay. Nice work if you can get it.

You say a rolls Royce is a luxury item. I say it is an important thing for the chauffeur to get me to the Learjet 🧐

I was going to mention the “multi-use” thing in my initial post, but, left it out because I’m not sure of the money trail.
Years ago, when Megan and Sarah were in HS choir, we used to work University of Texas concessions to make money for the choir for trips and such. The company contracted for the concessions was Sodexo.
We worked football game concessions as well as concessions at the basketball arena.
I know for a fact that no other events are held in the sacred football stadium, but, the basketball arena has always been a multi-use facility.
At the arena, we worked basketball games, HS basketball tournaments, concerts, etc.
But, again, I’m just not sure how the funds are distributed, so I don’t know who gets what, as in does a certain percentage go to each separate entity, whereas we know Disney gets a direct chunk from everything that is sold every day of the year…?

When do you know that a company is trash.

"Hi, make an account in our system, we will send you the ID to apply in the next minutes"
ID never comes.. email says go to help for any issue.
Asks for a ton of information to "confirm". Tingles me wrong the part where they ask for "We need your phone number you submitted in your application"
I mention that my phone was never asked in my submission.
Guy insists to "confirm".
How this guy can confirm something that was not provided?
Ironically after I PROVIDED my phone on the chat.. he says "he has the phone in my profile" (aka he just added it lol)
