You can't compare the cost of a drink at a sporting event. You are only likely to buy one or two at a game and then go home. At WDW you are likely to be there all day and you are going to drink more over that time. That's what makes it such a ripoff.

You stole some of my thunder…!!! ;)
Not only that, but, WDW has 4 Parks, a bunch of Resorts, Disney Springs, etc, and they are all open, essentially, 365 days a year, and roughly 12 or more hours a day.
A baseball season is 162 games (regular season), and 81 of those are home games…football teams even way less, obviously.
As we all know, it’s a numbers game, and those numbers hafta’ make sense for every business.
And, if folks are still willing to pay… :cyclops: ;)

Reminds me of the whole conversation about Lobster.
How an artificial scarcity plus some fancy chef giving recipes.. made them go from unwanted food to "top class".

That was so bad that some minorities hate when popular or fancy chefs decide to "fancify" popular and cheap meats.. creating dumb demand and inflating prices (first with wings then with oxtails). Thus leaving these poor groups unable to buy the little meat types they used to eat.

I like lobster a lot, but, yes…it’s, essentially, a sea roach…!!!!! 🤣

Nah, WDW is actually better. At least with the Orioles, you may bring in one bottle of water per person, and that's it. There's no place to refill. They give you a tiny cup of water when you ask. And if it's in the summer, it can get hot, and you will need more than one.

At WDW, at least you can bring your own drinks, they give you actual cups of water when you ask, and they're starting to put in water bottle refill stations.

I would buy small powder packets of lemonade from Wal Mart, etc , bring them in the park, ask the cast member for a cup of water with ice cubes. Save money here, spend it elsewhere.

As I’ve posted before, I’ve always just gotten the complimentary cups of ice water from QS/CS places at WDW to save money for beer, that I mostly got from the HESS across the street from what is now Disney Springs, for A LOT cheaper than the crap in any resort gift shop…!!!!! 🍻🤣
