@ajrwdwgirl and @SteveBrickNJ have a wonderful first day back at school after the holidays
Thank you. My school district and neighboring Toms River Schools will now be closed today due to a predicted 6 inch snowfall. As I compose this post the snow is happening to our south..snowing in Cape May, Atlantic City, etc...but the forecasters said my town will start seeing it soon and it will continue here throughout the day....ending by "dinnertime".

Good luck with the snow. Up here we may get some flurries. The storm seems to be heading due east to the snow snow snow line is rather sharp

Tomorrow's weather here in Brick NJ is expected to be fine. I am scheduled to oversee the first "After School Band Practice" of the year at one of the two Elementary Schools I teach at. I had planned on going into their classrooms today to remind them about that, but now that school is cancelled today (for winter weather) I am going to call each household this afternoon instead. I'm giving this long explanation to lead up to my request.
4 of my students have parents that only speak Spanish. I'm hoping one of you will translate this into Spanish for me:
*
"Good Afternoon! This is your child's Band Teacher. I would like to remind you that your child will need to stay after school tomorrow for band practice on the stage. Thank you!"
*
Thanks Cesar or StarWarsGirl

"Buenas tardes!, Soy al maestro de banda de su hijo(a). Quisiera recordarle que se requiere que su hijo(a) se quede despues de la escuela para practica de banda en el escenario del auditorio ( is it a theatre? or auditorium? ). Gracias!"

Note, use HIJA if its a girl and HIJO if its a boy.

Alternate take:

"Buenas tardes!, Soy al maestro de banda de su hijo(a). Quisiera recordarle que se requiere que su hijo(a) se quede despues de las horas de escuela. Ya que hay practica de banda en el escenario del auditorio. Gracias!"

Thank you very much for your kind help. The stage is at the front of the school gymnasium. We call that room the All Purpose Room.

Wow that name brings back distant memories from my elementary Catholic school days. The All Purpose room was for church bingo, CYO basketball, gym class, overflow seating area for Mass. The kitchen was next to the room when hot dogs were boiled and sold for 50 cents each for bingo. My 8th grade teacher even asked Mother Superior if after the wedding in the church that the wedding reception, dinner, dancing be held in the All Purpose room. It was done and all had a great time. It was a big money savings for bride and groom.
