Pets miss you when you have stayed with them a long time. DD's doggie has had her home for over a year. When she had to start going back in 3-4 days a week, poor baby acted depressed. He is doing better, but it has been hard for him not having someone home during the day.
Mom was home yesterday, but apparently it wasn't the same.

As a person of 73 years, I can say that I can make a joke like that because I am considered elderly no matter how hard I try not to be. I want to keep my brain sharp but part of the is not spending millions to risk life and limb when the days are getting fewer and fewer. To me that is dementia. But, you could be right, it just isn't something I would do at that age if I was thinking clearly. I also remember the rapid decline of John Glenn after his shuttle flight. You almost never saw him in public again. Why? I don't have a clue and I'm sure NASA would not ever want to mention it. There is a major difference between young internal organs and old ones.
Well so far, he seems positively ecstatic about his flight this morning! I'd say he has zero regrets, and good for him for going on this adventure. (I wish it was on a "real" Starship Enterprise, but I guess that will be a stretch before it becomes a reality.) ;)

He may or may not have mentioned his own age, but what I noticed more in the interviews, (pre- and post-flight) this morning, was that it was the news reporters who kept pointing that out, not him.

If anything, I give him credit for showing the world that some older citizens are also capable of reaching for the stars! ❤️

I'd say that Mr. Bezos got more than his marketing money's worth out of (donating) a ride to Mr. Shatner. There was a lot of press coverage of this event this morning.
One who got brief coverage was Japanese billionaire Maezawa who in 2018 was looking for a girlfriend to go with him on a future Space X rocket. 27K people filled out applications to go with him.

OMG this trending on Twitter had me emotional, I would love to see this come true.

LET THE MAN REST FOR GODS SAKE.
Can you imagine if Disney gives Robin the ultimate FU by hiring this guy and making him imitate Robin on movies?

And I'm very wary of the future thanks to Deep fake.
I won't be surprised if companies will make actors sign perpetual and after-death rights. Aka if they get popular.. their faces will be exploited forever with deepfake and CGI.

*edit*
Anyway if someone did a biopic of him.. This guy would definitively do it.

Yes that seems to be the case in cities that I have traveled in that have decent NY style Italian food are located in , - mid range, high end settings. There could be a mom and pop place but that is true, an authentic eatery probably has a NJ/NYC transplant working / owning the restaurant. When visiting NYC, NJ the opposite is true. A number of mom and pop, small town, big town , by the beach ( Jersey locals call it the Shore ) one can get quality Italian food, especially the pizza. Ask someone in Austin if they have heard of cold sesame noodles in a Chinese place. They probably never heard of it. A guy tried to operate a pizza place in FL by importing the water from NYC to make the dough. The quality of NYC/NJ pizza is the superior water quality content that makes the breads, bagels, pizza taste like no other.

Reale’s is a bit pricey, but, it’s not too expensive.
It’s definitely worth the money.
I’m familiar with the shore. Stayed in a house in Seaside Heights in the summer of ‘81, with a friend of mine and a bunch of his buddies. We call the beach here in Texas the coast.
The only Chinese food I’ve ever had in NY was at a place in Yonkers, in November of ‘87. Same friend and his 2 roommates ran the NYC Marathon earlier that day, and we flew in to see it (as well as my BIL graduating from basic training at Fort Dix). The place in Yonkers was good, but, I don’t remember it being standout.
Don’t know about the noodles. I’ll ask at work tomorrow.
I’ve always heard that about the water up there.

I actually never noticed a difference with Belle or Ranger, when DWifey lost her job and I was working from home for 6 weeks, and then I went back to the office and she got a new job at an office… :cyclops:
Maybe their brains just went back to factory settings…???!!!!! :D:hilarious:
