In something different. Yesterday we went to the last mass to say goodbye to my aunt who died of covid a month or so ago.
Mid mass it started to rain HARDER than when the hurricane that hit us. Flooding the out street.
I had to remove my shoes to get to my car..
Speaking of my car.. while the water was still below the doors.. and found happily that the car is very well sealed against water.... There was no water intrusion.
But while I was waiting for the water to go a bit lower so I could wade to the sidewalk and get my legs all wet.
Something happened that made me cringe hard...Everytime a big truck moved trough the street creating waves.. they hit my car.. AND MY CARD LIFTED TEMPORARILY D:
I mean.. I know my car is light.. but christ.. MY CAR WAS ALMOST FLOATING. It lifted up and down with the power of the waves.
I decided "screw that". Got my legs wet.. got inside and drove trough the highest parts of the road.
This repeated a few times as several parts between the church and my home were flooded.

Then it started to rain.. HARD.. AGAIN..
But made safely home before the water got even higher.
Which makes me wonder about the status of our bridges.

Weight means nothing. Cruise ships float, but I would hate to try and lift one. If it is water tight as you said, it is really a matter of water displacement. Maybe you have a car/boat combo. I don't recommend trying it out, but you never know. ;)

Me ordering a margarita....

Bartender: "What can I do for you young lady?"
Me: "I'd like a margarita please"
Bartender: "Can I see your ID?"
Me: *hands over ID*
Bartender: *carefully checks ID, searches for date* You're over 21 right?
Me: ...yes
Bartender: *hands back ID* ... You're definitely over 21 right?
Me: Uh huh
Bartender: ...let me see your ID again...
Me:....*hands over ID*
Bartender: *searches for date* ... You're over 21?
Me: "THE DATE IS RIGHT HERE. I'M 26."
Bartender: "Oh, okay. Here you go ma'am."

And he was then under tipped.

I went to Sephora for the first time today...see, I'm having a lot of firsts this week. I usually avoid it because the one by me absolutely reeks of perfume...but as it turns out, the one at Disney Springs less so, and with a mask, I can definitely handle it as long as I stay away from the back of the store.

Anyway, see, I have a problem. The problem is that place is frickin' amazing. Like, I am the most clueless person with makeup ever, and I walk in there, openly admit it, and ask for specifics about what I need, and they just hand me this beautiful makeup. And what I bought didn't cost me much more than my usual drugstore stuff, and it's travel size.

I bought this beautiful eyeshadow pallet that's travel sized and absolutely perfect for a clueless person. And actual mascara. Waterproof. And a travel size lip liner because I forgot mine.

Is this how it starts? Is this how girls end up with a makeup addiction? I'm pretty sure it is.

Which eyeshadow did you get? I'm more of an Ulta girl as they have both drugstore and high end stuff. They also have COUPONS, sales and a real loyalty program and if you're good at watching for sales you can combine all 3:joyfull: I have a major aversion to paying retail

A Sephora brand one with brown eyeshadow. It has six ones on it, regular ones and shimmery ones.

There's an Ulta near me too, but the staff at Sephora are what really made the experience stand out. They were also having a Labor Day sale, so...

Don't worry about addiction until you know the names of pallets and release dates of what's coming out every season;)
