What I liked about the 70s was driving around with my mom, aunt, or dad just feeling free. We had no seat belts, although I do believe in seat belts for a long time, but with the wind in our hair and the cars were fast. My mom drove a 1971 Chevy Malibu 4 on the four and dang it went fast!Me too,
AC Moore always seems to have some interesting tape and they always seem to have an online coupon you can print out.I bought some Hello Kitty tape there to jazz up my daughter's school binders.
Don't forget the dancing hot dogs
I remember clutches would go out a lot on the standards. I prefer standards if I'm going to enjoy driving but if I'm trying to get from point A to point B then automatic is fine.I had a Beetle when it went automatic. I learned on a stick, but was so glad when auto transmission came out.
No I just know that vegetarians/vegans need to know here to eat because our options are fewer. We have to plan more. This trip, I'm trying to eat less cheese and bread and fries.Who me? I'm not obsessed with planning![]()
It's beautiful here today. I finally could open my windows and air out my house of the last of those winter blues. The sun just came out! Yea going for a walk. I've only got 14 months to get in Disney shape!
My daughter and I are going for a walk later than going to Barnes and Nobles to browse. It's beautiful here today. I finally could open my windows and air out my house of the last of those winter blues.![]()

Try being a gluten free vegan. LOL at home EASY Everywhere but Disney not so much. At least I save by not eating out at home! Last trip I still ate gluten, probably shouldn't have doctor was going to test me before the trip but said go have fun it might be the last time to eat that. I was vegan at the time and had no problems anywhere on property! No I just know that vegetarians/vegans need to know here to eat because our options are fewer. We have to plan more. Ouch!Okay, Peeps. I'm out too. Back to bro's to assemble furniture ... and perhaps tear off another nail or two.
Yup, wages fit the times! I want the wages today and the prices of yesterday...now that would provide a good old time for all of us.Compared to today, they were practically giving the stuff away. Even after the embargo, we thought the prices were unbelievable, but, compared to today cheap, cheap, cheap!
Just to be fair to all the younger folks... Minimum wage was also around 50 cents an hour. The highest I remember it was $1.35 an hour. I'd work all week, 40 hours and get a pay check for $54.00 before taxes. I once got a week-end job (one weekend only) that paid $4.00 an hour and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. That job was unloading freight cars containing cases of motor oil and 55 gallon drums of the same. Worked my butt off for 14 hours for $56.00. Felt like a millionaire though. A sore, aching millionaire, but, one none the less.
I read on Disney's sight they are changing up menu's at Sanaa SFi, and 50's dinerThanks! I have had it bookmarked for years. That's where I was looking at menus!
I love bookstores, I can spend a whole day just reading mystery titles, (I'm a slow reader)My daughter and I are going for a walk later than going to Barnes and Nobles to browse.
I read that people weren't happy because they were offering less vegetarian things, at Saana (sp)No I just know that vegetarians/vegans need to know here to eat because our options are fewer. We have to plan more. This trip, I'm trying to eat less cheese and bread and fries.
Yea books have always been a love of mine. My kids grew up going to the bookstore. I've curbed my buying since I was spending too much money and I ran out of room in my house for more books. This is where I find the idea of Nooks and such a good idea.I love bookstores, I can spend a whole day just reading mystery titles, (I'm a slow reader)![]()
I've never be to Sanaa so I don't know. I hear they have awesome bread service.I read that people weren't happy because they were offering less vegetarian things, at Saana (sp)
