I told hubby what you did and he was like “well how did you miss getting in?” Lol
Close all your other apps, log into MDE five minutes before 7 am or 1 pm. Make sure you're properly signed in. Watch the clock at the top of your phone and hit it right as it turns at 7/1. Don't use Disney wifi; use your phone's data. I've only missed getting in at 7 one time, and it was because I was signed in as my dad and he didn't have a park pass. I signed in as myself and got in at 1.

This is what is killing WDW for me after all these years. Why should it be so complicated just to see a theme park attraction? Are they going to go back to a regular line after all the Covid restrictions are lifted? At least then I might have a chance of seeing it if I wait in line long enough.

My area had the old Disney store which closed decades ago (not the newer one). All I remember was a wall to floor movie screen, you could buy park tickets and a big circle stuff animal display near the movie screen

These are some pics I found online of our old “Pink and Green” Disney Store that I was a CM at for 4+ years. Sounds very similar to the Store you described.
I have one souvenir from that Store that I didn’t buy...It’s the Castle from the top of the gift card and Park pass display. We quit selling Park passes at one point, and then the gift cards went behind the counter, and the display was done away with. Whenever we did away with anything, at least one cast member and a manager had to take it out back to the crusher and witness it’s destruction. I took the display out with our SM. I told her how it sucked that we had to crush the Castle top to the display. She paused a moment and then said “Take it to your car quick, and don’t tell anyone!!!”...!!!!! :D:cool::hilarious:
I really had no clue what I was gonna’ do with it, until oldest DD told us she was expecting our first granddaughter...problem solved, as it became part of Emmy’s nursery...!!!!!:inlove::happy:
Also, I worked with the circled CM...!!! :)

I am pretty good with using the tech but still find it annoying that you have to go through all that just to go on a ride. I would rather just wait on a line. I will say that Uni has it right with their Tapu Tapu at the water park. Disney had it ok with fast pass also and they got rid of it cause of covid. Hopefully they bring that back because it is really unfair to those who don't use cell phones or do not know how to use the app to get a call back time for a ride. The more complicated they make it the less interested I am personally in going on a ride.

It's actually better than it was pre-covid. Pre-covid you had to be here at park opening, which was at 7 am sometimes. In the park physically. You had to hit it on your device. There was no second group at 1 pm, so you were out of luck if you didn't get it. February of 2020 I stood in a mammoth crowd trying to get it, twice, at 8 am (we came on the days when it opened at 8, not 7). Which feels strange to say now because of all the restrictions that went in like a month later. Then they made it two tries, and then the first that you could do it with a park pass.

I think they're eventually going to do FP with it. It's set up for it. At least that's our only virtual queue. My understanding is that DL is using it for Indiana Jones as well.

Incredible! What a miracle!

Indeed, and thank you so much...!!! :)
I’d be lyin’ if I said I didn’t get a bit misty when I pulled that pic up...!!!;)
Hard to believe he’ll be 29 in October...!!!!! :eek:o_O:hilarious:
He still has has his issues (and always will, of course) with his autism and Asperger’s, but is healthy as a horse, otherwise...!!!!!
His job at Goodwill is pretty physically demanding, and he does it well.
Lookin’ back, it’s crazy how many times we were told by docs not to get our hopes up, ‘cause he probably wouldn’t even make it to be born. Then, after he finally was born, similar. We never heard that from DWifeys actual Obi-wan ;) (ob/gyn), or the NICU nurses, but, other “specialists”.
Not a day goes by that we’re not thankful he proved them wrong, and before he left the NICU, all the docs said they were glad he did...!!!!!
Even back in ‘92, his NICU tab amounted to $850,000+. Fortunately, DWifey worked for an insurance co. at the time, and had the Cadillac plan, so our oop was only $20,000.
Sorry for the long post, but, the memories came flooding back.
And, again, thank you so much...!!! :)

Yep, same theme as our Disney Store that opened with Lakeline Mall in Oct. of ‘95.
When it first opened, they also sold limited edition animation cells, high quality Mickey watches, etc.
Although it could be a crazy place to work, at times ;), the vast majority of my memories as a CM there are good...!!! :)

I didn’t need to wear a seatbelt as a kid either. I do remember when it became a law in NY. I was probably 10 or a tad older and just was annoyed that I now needed to wear a seat belt. Today I won’t drive anywhere without one and my kids always have theirs on. Still have my youngest in a booster even. She is 58 pounds and I am a tad over protective.

Yep, we only had lap belts when I was a kiddo, and I don’t ever remember even wearin’ ‘em.
But, ever since I got my learners permit at 15, I have always worn seatbelts.
