See, I'm a genius. I came to the conclusion in high school that it wasn't worth it and I was better off sleeping. Or if I stayed up late, watching movies or reading books was a much better use of my time. Now that I am older, once my body says "It is time to go to sleep" I say "Okay." The unfortunate part of this is that sometimes my body says it wants to sleep middle of the day, but for the most part this seems to be a good strategy.
I suppose, but I have some really great memories that involved being completely awake or at least partially aware. I did, one time, wake up the next morning, at home alone, but with a woman's red leather belt in my coat pocket. That happened in 1968 and that is one of the few things that I have no recall about. Even then I can use my imagination and it turns out to be a pretty fun time even if I don't remember any of it. I will admit that a lot of those memories that I do have are not necessarily anything I would tell my grandkids about. No regrets!

You may find yourself surprised at the stuff you tell your grandchildren. No one knew that my grandma had three boyfriend's in high school (at the same time...) until she told me. One for Friday, one for Saturday, one for Sunday. 😂
