I had no issues with my first dose, but, Carolyn had a rather sore arm for a few days. Interested in what the second dose might be like, as I’ve heard many had no issues with the first, but, had issues with the second.

Also, one of the allergist doctors up here mentioned that some people also get a red rash on the injection arm. This can come out a few days to 6 days afterwards. It's nothing to be alarmed about, even if it looks scary -- but unsuspecting people see it and freak out. She said it goes away in about 5 days. (Again, it's not everyone who gets this --it's very random.)

Fortunately, I’ve yet to hear about anyone in our family havin’ any major reaction to their vaccines, including my folks and MIL in their early to late 80’s, and all fully vaccinated for weeks now. Carolyn and myself got the Moderna, and my folks and MIL got Pfizer.

I can’t read all of the sign...are they closed permanently, or just remodeling...?!
Our local mall Disney Store, that I was a CM at during the last recession for 4+ years from ‘09-‘13, closed permanently a few years ago. :(

I just Googled this -- yes, it is. News report indicated that 40 Disney stores are closing for good.

That’s what I suspected.
In this day and age, I’m sure they make a lot more profit by ditchin’ the brick and mortar, and focusin’ more online.
Sad though, as I can remember more than one little kiddo runnin’ into the Store, when I was a CM there, and shoutin’ “Disney World...!!!!!!! :joyfull:“. :(

Don’t know what I would have done without the flavored liquid meds. My kids prefer the grape flavored ones. I mean I only have two on liquid now. Everyone else can take pills. As a kid I was a nightmare with medicine. Would throw up the chewable St. Joseph aspirin. The antibiotics were flavored though even when I was little in the 70’s. Bubble gum flavored. It was gross.
I used to gag on Vitamins. They were One a Day. My mother thought that they were chewable because they looked like cherry flavor. I want to tell you they tasted awful. It took me a long time to be able to swallow pills. I was grown and married with kids and still unable to swallow them. Then one day I was eating a piece of steak and I accidentally swallowed a large piece of it. And I thought to myself, damn if I can swallow that with no effort there is no reason why I can't swallow a pill. Before long I could swallow 6 or 7 at a time and even some with no liquid, just swallow them dry. My only real evidence of mind over matter.

I survived shopping. It's a good thing I did rope drop as it's been 2 weeks since any shopping was done. Just don't ask how many cart fulls;) My step thingy said I got in a workout:banghead:
When I did the food shopping for my Nursing home with 15 residents, I did it once a month and usually filled 4 carts, plus I bought stuff from restaurant suppliers and other regular grocery chains. But, seriously that was for 15 adults and the help. My clients ranged anywhere from 16 to 103 years old. The 103 year old was the only one in the house that didn't need any meds. Not sure how she managed that. She used to sit in the kitchen area and bug them until they let her peel some of the potato's. She outlived her husband and all six of her children and a couple of her grandchildren. Her children all passed in their early 80's. Even her grandkids were close to social security age. I never asked about great-grandkids. I was afraid to ask. It wasn't really a nursing home per se, it was a Residential Care home for people with some problems that made it so they really couldn't care for themselves. The state classified it as a Level 4 Nursing Home.

Wow, I was the same way with the pills, didn't figure out how to swallow them until I was married and had a kid. I still can't swallow huge pills, like antibiotics, I have to cut them in half. I still take chewable Flintstone vitamins, but it's not weird yet because my youngest kid is 9 🤣

Which vaccine did y’all get...?
Carolyn and I both got Moderna.

I got the Pfizer and hubs got Moderna. All the teachers that I work with that have gotten the vaccine only had achy arms and a few others felt as tired as I did. All of our 2nd doses are this week, so I guess we will see what happens.

Hub's twin sister got the Moderna and her 2nd dose came with some side effects of fever, chills, and just feeling achy and icky so I'm glad my husband didn't feel that bad. His other sister got the Johnson and Johnson and didn't seem to have any side effects but a slightly achy arm.
