@MinnieM123 it was the stew from the video plus a bit of celery and carrots. Sized up for the guys:banghead::banghead::banghead: :banghead: They're not mad about getting corned beef:eek:

So I put in the corned beef into the large pan of water at 3:30. Set to boil and then simmer until 6:30. Keeping an eye on it to add a bit of water each 30 minutes so it stays covered (package said to do that).

Anyway, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do with a small pack of seed thingies and figured you put those on top of the corned beef when you serve it.

But then I just now looked on Google and discovered that you're supposed to put those things in the pan with the corned beef -- while it's cooking. :jawdrop: So I just went downstairs and put those seedies (still don't have a clue what they are!) into the pot -- it was only 1 and 1/2 hours after I was supposed to. :hilarious: :p

You'll be fine! I'm pretty sure that those "seedies" don't have a wrist watch so they won't know they were late arriving at the party.

I just put out 2 bowls of stew. James: Which one is mine? Me: I don't care. James: Tries to walk off with pot:banghead::rolleyes::cautious::bawling:
I see he is a handful for food due to appetite. I don't want to what damage he would have done to my parents meal and my younger brother and I's meal.

My parents meal had some different stuff than my younger brother and I had and I assume James would want all of it.

My parents had Emeril Lagasse's cabbage and potato bake recipe, and Corned beef sandwiches. The corned beef sandwiches have cheese, thousand Island dressing, kraut besides corned beef. My younger brother and I had canned potatoes, corned beef sandwiches, green jello, and cookies and cream fluff. My parents meal had left overs and so did my younger brother and I.

At least he isn't related to my family. My parents meal had some different stuff than my younger brother and I had and I assume James would want all of it.

That sandwich sounds pretty much like a Reuben...!!!!! :hungry:

Much to our surprise, the corned beef actually tasted great last night! :hungry: There's some left over for sandwiches today. I like (N.Y. style) deli mustard on corned beef sandwiches, and nothing else.

Potato chips are usually good with those types of sammies, but I don't have any. Maybe I should go to the grocery store and get a bag, although I'll have to decide whether to get the regular or the ones with ridges.

I'll decide when I get there. Yes, that's the plan. :D

A had to have 6 teeth pulled yesterday, baby molars that just wouldn't come out because his permanent teeth are coming in wrong and not pushing the baby teeth out. Poor kid couldn't go to tennis, couldn't eat anything...he finally did try to drink something, but everything tasted awful, and then he had some popsicles. We let him stay home from school today...he's still sore, and can only eat popsicles.
