@MinnieM123 I thought you would find this interesting

I can't wait to go to the grocery store and ask for "mutton" in the meat department! :D

Good video. Basically, Irish stew really hasn't changed much at all down through the years. (Oh, we won't be having Guinness with ours, as hubs doesn't drink at all, and I don't like beer.) But other than that, I'd enjoy stew from that old recipe. My mother made stew a lot at home, too, so I grew up on that dish. (Picked up right away on Max's reference that most recipes were written by the English back then, "for" the Irish.) Lastly, about the potato famine, I've read a few books about that -- intense.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. My potato to meat ratio is less than that recipe;)

Though I heard palm oil is horrible for the planet even know it seems to be in everything
I don't think it's the palm oil itself, it's that the places where it's harvested, they raze all the natural habitat to plant the palm trees, and a lot of animals are then displaced. It's the farming practices that are harmful, not the product. It's the distruction of rainforest to make farmland, or that's the way I understand it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everybody! Remember, everyone is honorary Irish on St. Patrick's Day!

We're having a traditional Irish dinner tonight with corned beef, potatoes and carrots.

(Note: No cabbage --can't stand cabbage. 🤮)

I would make my Irish brownies I want to make but I''ll make those over the weekend maybe if I feel like going to the store. Buying a zeppole today would be too busy at bakery's plus it will require me to actually go outside my driving route.

I also don't like to take left hand turns onto busy roads. (from parking lots)
