So our Corona cases are on the rise again (Color me surprised....they open up schools and contact professions like hair salons and driving schools....what do they expect?) and they are taking a break from the Astra Zeneca vaccine over reports of some people getting blood clots (Trombosis) after having that vaccine. So we're behind again on our vaccination schedule and our cases are increasing.
Yikes.

Our cases have been decreasing. We have what's called hybrid learning right now. Half the students are at home, half are in school, they close on Wednesdays for a deep clean and then swap. So B goes Thursdays and Fridays, the other half goes Mondays and Tuesdays, but you could opt out if you wanted to. They went back to their regular bell schedule too, so now instead of having long breaks, he's in class from 7:45-2:15.

Our hair salons have been open for a while now, but with reduced capacity. They are now allowed to be open without capacity restrictions as long as everyone wears masks and stays six feet apart. Masks are still required everywhere, and then some counties might differ from the state level. I think our travel quarantine got lifted as well.

My mom who has gotten the Pfizer vaccine goes to the beauty parlour but when the stylist cuts around the ears my mom has to take off the mask but not for too much time.

Our schools were allowed to decide how they wanted to do it as long as everyone could be distanced. A's school split all the groups in two and they go every other day. One week they go M-W-F and the next they go T-Th. But they only have 5 people at a time, max because their maximum class size even before Covid was 9 kids. E's school is doing it in a really stupid way. They split it by year, so like....7th graders and Sophomores go one day, 8th and 9th graders go a different day, and Juniors go a different day. Seniors go every day because they have exams and it's more important for them to get in person instruction. So then E's entire class goes at the same time, but they split them up into more than one classroom and one of those classrooms gets the in person instruction, and the other's go to a different classroom and work online just like they do at home on the days that they don't have "in-person" instruction. So some kids go to school for in-person instruction, but don't actually get in-person instruction, but they can't just stay home and do the online stuff....they have to come to the school to do it, because that's their in-person day. It makes ZERO sense.
