@seahawk7 , have you finalized your dinner dining plans for your vacation yet? I know you put a lot of effort into that and was just wondering if it was done, and if you got everything you wanted. (I know your son wasn't in favor of Hoop De Doo as one of the options.) What is your favorite restaurant in the group that you selected?
I think we are going to finalize this weekend. My son says we are going to MK too much towards the end of the trip. We have 4 BOG reservations that bring us into MK the last couple of days so we might get rid of two. If we do, I was think of creating a thread or posting on an existing BOG reservation thread to let people know I'm going to cancel on that particular day. I would post the time that I would cancel in hopes of someone on this forum being able to snatch it up. Is that a good idea?
And the restaurant I'm most excited for is Via Napoli. I have two reservations for it because I love, love, love their Margherita pizza.

We had to wear jumpers through sixth grade. For grades 7 & 8 (my school stopped at 8th grade), we had skirts and vests, and still wore those same white blouses that we wore with the jumpers. Whether it was the jumper or the suit/vest combo, we also all had to wear those dorky (clip-on) bow ties with the long ends. The nuns had this thing about what color tie "their class" would wear. So you'd see all these kids in the same uniforms, but with different colored ties, depending upon which nun taught you that year.

When I got to the 9th grade, I was able to go to public school; and I was a kid in a candy store, being able to wear fashionable clothes to school for the first time!!! I hated uniforms!
I went to public school too in 9th grade but I couldn't handle the freedom so my parents sent me back to private school in 10th grade.

I love small aircraft--you really "feel" like you're flying. The larger aircraft have been designed for a smoother ride; but it can get boring up at altitude, when you feel like you're at home sitting on a sofa in the livingroom, versus feeling the current of the winds aloft, as in a smaller aircraft.
You're pretty adventurous. Like an onion you are.

My niece goes to a Private School in Ohio. KP-4 no uniform but some tight restrictions on type of clothing and dress shoes. Middle School 5-8 they put them in uniforms and high school they could pretty much wear what they wanted. Go figure same school KP-12.

How would you like to walk this staircase multiple times a day. Oy

I would be a TE and not even be in the NFL.

Outstanding photo!! I love it !!

Reminds me a little of my previous dog. I'm not sure what it is about dogs and cows, but they seem to like each other. We were on vacation up in Maine at that time, and we kept our dog on a leash. She really wanted to go see the cow (behind a fence in an open field) so I walked her over there. The cow came over to the fence and my dog and the cow were mesmerized by each other! They tried to touch noses between the the wire fence!! :cat:

I am surprised you never knew about sun tea. I grew up with my mom making it everyday in the summertime. I just thought everyone knew. Shows how little I know.

Maybe because you live in a hotter climate for most of the year, things like making tea in the sun might just be second nature. I just never heard of this out here, although I'm sure some people have heard of this, and probably do it in the summer. I just don't know anyone who does. Making tea in the sun sounds like fun! :)

You and your son must be psyched, trying to pick the best of the reservations. I was very surprised to read that you actually had 4 BOG reservations, because from what I've read, many people can't even score one (although they may have tried during the busy season). (I don't do any ADR's so I don't have any first-hand experience.) I think that offering up the two that you don't want is a nice gesture, and they'd probably go very quickly. If you do post them, perhaps a good place might be over in the Restaurants and Dining thread.

The food at Via Napoli sounds delicious. The food there might even be better than BOG, but the design inside BOG is definitely something to see. (I've often just wanted to take a peek inside BOG, and see the pretty decorations, but didn't want to deal with the lines of people waiting to get inside.)

Can't wait to hear about the others that you and your son have picked!

@Cesar R M , I'd like to share my own opinion about the news clip you posted. From what I could see, the man arrested was in open defiance of the 10 p.m. curfew. He obviously knew he'd get arrested. (I'm not addressing any broader law enforcement issues either here in the U.S. or south of the border, but I did want to share with you, my perspective on that one film clip.)

Ha! That must have been rough to experience freedom in 9th grade, only to have it take away from you! After I left parochial school, I felt free and happy!! Plus, I was really into fashion at that point in my early teens, so wearing the latest fads was a big deal to me! ;)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
