North Carolina is using the step method in the process. We have not changed anything in the mask wearing department, but have increased the percentage of people allowed in public locations like restaurants, stores and movies and the numbers of people that are permitted to gather in groups. Nothing else changed. Our governor has taken a lot of flack for his tendency to slowly open things back up, but so far our hospitalizations have dropped like a rock. So far there has been limited whining about the restrictions because all of us are tired to this pandemic thing and want to do our part to have it end. If the dropping of all restrictions works in Texas that might be the the indication that we are coming out of it, but I'm not sure they would let us know if it spiked again.
I really like him for doing the slower openings. I think it has helped tremendously with our high hospitalizations during this time. A lot don’t like the idea, but the numbers here have proven it is working.
I agree that it will be interesting if TX does well, when we go to less restrictions.

I saw a graph that showed it was spiking already again before they removed all the restrictions. I doubt opening everything up is going to make cases drop. But who knows how accurate all the information out there is. It's on the internet, so it must be true, right?

Send wine. It's a slippery mess outside!!!! Yesterday it got warm enough to melt a whole lot of the carp, last night it got cold enough to freeze all the puddles. DH and James as a birthday "gift" and so I don't bust up anything else are doing this week's shopping for me:eek: The list is very detailed and both of them are capable of picking out decent produce so that's not my fear. It's the extras they thing they need:cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious:

It’s not just Texas. Why are we the focus, yet again...?! :cyclops:
Oh yea, ‘cause we’re TEXAS(S)...the second “S” is optional...!!!!!:D:hilarious:
Yet, people and businesses are still movin’ here in droves. Heck, even Elon Musk recently moved to Austin.
I heard a guy on the radio on my drive home just yesterday. He was from Virginia, and said he and his wife came down here to visit friends last Sept., and loved it. So much so, that by Nov. they had moved here and are totally happy with their choice...!!! :)
But, again, it ain’t just Texas...
