Hey everyone! I made a website called ThrillWriters! I've always had a passion for writing and I LOVE theme park attractions, so I'd thought I'd combine the two. I have 4 Ride Reviews up and though you all would like to take a look at them! Thanks a lot!

Must have been pretty bad roads in the Dallas Fort Worth area...HUGE pile up, according to the news here. I had to look up if that was close to you.

Dallas/Fort Worth (2 separate large cities, but, really close together, by Texas standards anyway ;)) are about 200 miles northeast of us.
I saw video yesterday of some of the actual pileup happening. A small car slid into the back of a stopped semi at pretty high speed, then another semi slid into the back of the car and semi at pretty high speed...whoever was in that car was mush, unless maybe they were able to somehow get down on the floorboard, but, they probably didn’t even survive the first impact.
6 people died in all that sadness. :(

Hey everyone. I know there are a lot of cat people here, so I have a question.

Early last week, this poor little guy showed up on our deck. He's clearly a stray and feral. He's been hanging around, and we keep leaving him food and water, but every time we open the back door, he freaks out and runs.

It is freezing cold outside (tonight it will be 21 degrees) and we have piles of snow everywhere. We keep trying to get him to come in, but he just won't do it. We read that cats can't really survive too long in this kind of cold, so we put out a little insulated cooler with a blanker in it, and he's been sleeping in there. He's actually in there right now, but if I open the door, he'll run away again.

We really want to get him inside so he doesn't freeze to death but we don't know how. Does anyone have any experience with feral cats, or do you have any advice?

In the meantime, I actually looked up heated cat houses on Amazon, and they exist. Who knew? I bought one, but it's not going to get here for a couple of days, and I don't want this little guy to freeze in the meantime.

My DD just had this same problem. A feral cat showed up really malnourished. She started feeding it. She would let her in but she wouldn’t stay long before she wanted to go back outside. My DD bought a heated house, and she used it when it was colder.
She also got pregnant so my DD recently had to give her to a rescue shelter. They just can’t deal with lots of kitties right now. After the rescue shelter has the babies adopted, if no one adopts the mama, my DD is going to have her fixed and get her back to live with them.
Good luck! Feral kitties don’t like enclosed places a lot since they are used to roaming.

🤦‍♀️

My dog just ate an entire bag of Frito's. And most of the outside wrapper. I was at the computer upstairs here and heard some paper rustling -- which usually means he's into something, that he's not supposed to be into. :cautious:

He must have pushed the sealed, new bag of Frito's off the counter to the floor, and had himself a little party. :devilish:
At least Jack does not have the quality that my parents soon to be gone neighbors have with dogs. I am referring to a dog jumping like a kangaroo and expects neighbors to give him food besides the owner.

The neighbors is a family of 4 will be gone soon due to the owner of the property died and they found a new place. Those neighbors in question is a family of 4.

The neighbors had 2 different dogs with one dead due to old age. That dog was one that the neighbors had a field day with because he was jumping over fence like a kangaroo because he wanted to spend time my parents backyard. The fence is not wooden at all.

The current dog for my parents neighbors on the other hand gets yelled at for head being at top of fence because he wants my parents to feed him. The woman in the in the past told her dog that you are fat enough after see the dog wanting my dad to feed him food.

Yummy they don't have to be fried to be good. Did they still have the squeak? For curds like that I usually put them in the microwave for about 10 seconds and then the squeak comes back if they were cold.

They were really good, although I don’t remember a squeak. But, there are more in the office fridge in their original closed package, and if I can make it to the office on Monday, I’ll remember to nuke ‘em for a bit to see if they squeak...!!!!! :hilarious::hungry:

So I took my jeep renegade in yesterday because my check engine light came on. Left it there for about two hours. They called and said it was fixed. Just needed a software update.
I drove it home-no light on-and to the grocery store this morning. We took it out on an errand this afternoon to Home Depot. As we headed home, guess what?!, the check engine light came on! I am so 😡
I just checked on the internet and see that auto parts stores will check it for free. So, heading there in the morning to see what it shows. Why does something always go wrong when you almost have a car paid off?!!

I'm sure you have heard of "Planned Obsolescence". They are built to start having problems just about the time you have it paid off. They figure if you are going to be faced with repair bills you might as well just make a car payment and not have to worry about it. That is the very reason why those extended car warrantee people are so successful.
