One of many on the island. Built around an old Napoleonic fort.Is that bottom one, one of Uncle Adolf's special design apartment complexes?
All our pharmacies have drive thru. Don't remember the last time I actually needed to walk into a pharmacy. That stinks that you don't have delivery. Up here they're dispensing meds for 3 months at a time and we have contactless.
There's one that's 20 minutes away that's drive through and they are soooo slow. Most you have to go into. All our pharmacies have drive thru. Don't remember the last time I actually needed to walk into a pharmacy.
Would love to replace our floors on the first floor but worry about the pets being in the way.Dining room floor is getting replaced. Jasmine does not like the noise and came to Belle for comfort...

When we remodeled the kitchen, Chloe stayed off in another room. She always stayed out of our way.Would love to replace our floors on the first floor but worry about the pets being in the way.
They're definitely not in the way. I don't know where Jasmine has been most of today; she suddenly appeared next to Belle when the door was opened. Belle usually isn't afraid of anything, but she was initially afraid of the noise. Now she just doesn't like it, so she's been up with me all day.Would love to replace our floors on the first floor but worry about the pets being in the way.
I to the point of that I’ve lost track of the last day we didn’t have snow falling.
I'd probably try a can of tuna, maybe sardines...catnip...expensive cat food (the stinkier the better)...and see if you can make a "nest" of blankets in that cooler for him so he can curl up and it will hold his body heat.Hey everyone. I know there are a lot of cat people here, so I have a question.
Early last week, this poor little guy showed up on our deck. He's clearly a stray and feral. He's been hanging around, and we keep leaving him food and water, but every time we open the back door, he freaks out and runs.
It is freezing cold outside (tonight it will be 21 degrees) and we have piles of snow everywhere. We keep trying to get him to come in, but he just won't do it. We read that cats can't really survive too long in this kind of cold, so we put out a little insulated cooler with a blanker in it, and he's been sleeping in there. He's actually in there right now, but if I open the door, he'll run away again.
We really want to get him inside so he doesn't freeze to death but we don't know how. Does anyone have any experience with feral cats, or do you have any advice?
In the meantime, I actually looked up heated cat houses on Amazon, and they exist. Who knew? I bought one, but it's not going to get here for a couple of days, and I don't want this little guy to freeze in the meantime.

Getting him somewhere warm to sleep is a very good idea. The more insulated the better.Hey everyone. I know there are a lot of cat people here, so I have a question.

See if you get get a safe trap from your local shelter or Amazon. Just keep him as warm as you can until you can get him insideHey everyone. I know there are a lot of cat people here, so I have a question.

Thanks for this and thanks everyone! I actually just got a notice that the heated cat house I ordered is out for delivery by 8PM tonight. Crossing my fingers!Also...if I were dead set on getting him to come in, I'd set a trap just inside the door for him. Can of stinky tuna or sardines, with a nice box to hide in, leave the door open, and hide close enough to the door where he won't see me so I can close the door very quickly once he starts eating. MAKE SURE to have a place ready for him to hide though. My sister took in a feral kitten and even though it's now grown, it still hides constantly and doesn't like to be pet or held.
ETA: This will take LOTS of patience...it will probably take a while for him to get curious enough to come in, and you'll have to stay out of sight the whole time. It IS doable, though. I had the squirrels and birds that lived around the tee pee I stayed in for six months trained to come when I called...and woke up with a squirrel perched on me more than once.
The more blankets the better (or even old towels and such). A cooler is a good idea. Cat food out. See if you can get him to take it from you so that he begins to trust you. I'm thinking he could have been dumped. Truly feral cats usually run in colonies and don't come so close to houses, but if he were dumped, it would explain the distrust.Hey everyone.
