I've got wings ready to cook tomorrow and to go with them, a big ole pot of chili, some pickles with cream cheese wrapped in ham, hummus and pork rinds. And, a veggie tray with ranch dip and spinach and artichoke dip too. Don't really care anything about the actual game but we always enjoy watching the commercials. There is one I saw a preview of that looks like a standout, a paralympics/Toyota ad that looks like it might be a good one. Oh, and I don't have a lot of interest in the half-time show this year. Not a clue who this weekend fella is.
We'll be watching the Puppy Bowl or a movie and the PB Monday depending on the weather. Don't ask;)

So @figmentfan423 how is the weather up there? We are forecast to have up to four inches of snow tonight, but so far this year they have predicted snow for us three or four times with nary a snowflake.
4 inches how cute;) 32 from the big one plus about 4 or 5 more during the week, 2-4 tomorrow. 2 Tuesday and I'm hoping only a few on Thursday. The Thursday one coming can go big if the track changes:banghead::banghead::banghead:

@figmentfan423 speaking of cold, here are a few pics of palm trees taken at Captiva Island this past October. These kinda remind me of the palm tree photos you post on here. I took these. Hope these pics remind you there will be warm weather again regardless of what the groundhog says.

Thank you so very much. Some palm trees are needed this time of year

OK, now it's time for the lazy southern single mans recipe for chicken and dumplings. (not southern flat dumplings but fluffy dumplings)

Ingredients:

3/4 lb. of either chicken breast or two cans of chicken (like canned tuna but bigger)
2 cans of Progressive Chicken Pot Pie soup.
1 cup of assorted frozen Veggies. (carrots, peas, string beans, corn, lima beans) or your favorites
1 cup of Bisquick
1/3 cup of milk

Brown raw chicken or heat up canned chicken in the pot. Once they have browned nicely add the two cans of soup.
While that is coming to a boil you can mix up the Bisquick and milk with a fork to a sticky mixture of dough.

When it gets close to a boil add the frozen Veggies and mix up well then bring back to a boil as you add teaspoons full of dumpling dough to the boiling mixture (should come out to about nine different dumplings). Once the dough has been added then reduce the temperature to simmer and cook uncovered for 10 minutes and then another 10 minutes covered. At that time serve. All done in less then 30 minutes.

Purists I'm sure will find my single mans shortcuts to be nearly blasphemous, but you have to remember is the only one I have to please is myself, and this is a quick way to have one of my favorite. I created this recipe because I have no talent for making gravy in quantity. The soup takes care of that. I sometimes add a can of diced potatoes if the mood strikes me. 🙂

For me that makes for three meals. It's also freezable. Three meals with three good sized Dumplings for each one.
or a snack for a slightly younger male:banghead::banghead::banghead:
