I’m not @MinnieM123 , but I’m at 43+ years since I got my “Learners Permit”, well after I actually knew how to drive...!!!!! :hilarious::D:hilarious:

Hubs drove a car at 8. :hilarious: No, he didn't have a car. He "borrowed" the neighbor's car, and took it for a spin down the road. :p (Let that be a lesson to folks who live in rural areas -- it's not as safe as you think, leaving your keys in the ignition.) :joyfull:

I had a dream last night that we were making burritos for dinner, but instead of taco meat A made me make taco soup and then laughed hysterically watching us trying to make burritos out of soup😂😂
It's funny, because it totally sounds like something she would do!

I have really vivid dreams that seem so real to me, often situations where I'm not even me, or where I'm in the past, like in high school. But I can't tell I'm dreaming. I have a lot of dreams where I've witnessed a crime that the criminals are trying to kill me so I can't testify and I'm on the run. In one dream, I was a young man with some awesome karate skills and I fought off a bunch of smugglers who had chased me down an alley. Usually, when I wake up, there's something that SHOULD have told me I was dreaming....like, when I dream I'm in high school, but I suddenly remember I have to pick my kids up from daycare and why didn't I let the daycare know I had school?? But in the dream, it's so real and so logical that it makes sense until I wake up. Or like, one time I dreamed that my friend bought a new car...a sports car, all sleek and bright red, and he brought it to show me, and he took me for a ride....it flew. Shouldn't a flying car have told me it was a dream? And then the WEIRDEST dream I ever had, in which monkeys had invaded the park in my home town and as I walked through, they detatched their genitals and threw them at me, where they enlarged and stuck to me like they were glued. I have never heard of ANYONE having a weirder dream than that, and somehow I didn't know I was dreaming. It seemed so logical. My husband thinks my dreams are hilarious.

No, and I should have. Quite the momentous occasion, especially when it comes to Disney; he thinks he's always right.
To be fair, I think we all have that. We wouldn't do things if we didn't think we were right. No one sits and plots ways to make mistakes or mess things up. At least not for themselves. We all make the decisions we think are right. I could understand your dad's point of view at that time. Disney closed, they didn't know when and in what form it would reopen. Is it worth it to spend the money? Who could have predicted that they'd allow people to renew, but not to but new passes? Or that Disneyland would get rid of their AP program. You base your decisions on the information you have at the time. I think a LOT of people let their APs lapse. And it may have been the right decision for some of them. But at least your dad admitted he had been wrong in this case...that's something not a lot of people are willing to do, especially to their children.

The watermelon candy is a Sour watermelon, I don't see a brand name on it, but the informational guide that comes in the box says it is a popular candy because of tiny watermelon that is grown in the Netherlands. Apparently the tiny 1 inch watermelon was discovered by a Dutch company Koppert Cress in South America and brought them back. I think they will be good, I'll try to remember to let you know the verdict when I do.

I'm a little unsure of the wine gums because I'm not really into that type of candy but I'll try it. I'm looking forward to the kruidnoted and the stroopwaffles. The informational guide did recommend putting the cookie over a hot beverage, so I might try that this weekend with some coffee. There was also a sour violet hard candies in the box, I'm not sure about that, my sister likes violet candy so I might end up giving them to her.

I see to like the savory treats that are in these boxes the best so we will probably end up eating the gouda cheese crispies and the potato chips first.
I have never seen tiny one inch watermelons....I'll have to ask my husband about that one. Can you even eat those? I have so many questions!

Hey everyone -- @dryerlintfan posted over in the Trip Reports forum, that she's going to be having a "live" TR from WDW, starting on January 29th!
Thank you Minnie!! I was going to mention it but by the time I posted that I realized I was already up past my bedtime 😂😂

Be honest though...in what scenario would you go without her?

If I could still do roller coasters, I might 😂😂 although she might do Everest this year with N, so maybe she'll even up being a roller coaster fan!

I know I'm in the minority here but I LOVE this movie
I think it is one of the most emotionally intense, and universally understood movies from Pixar. It's about growing up, seeing your kids grow up, we have all dealt with these feelings, I saw it with my daughter when she around 6 or so and I still remember her and I both looking at each other multiple times with tears in our eyes(she has always been very emotionally aware for her age). So I love it but I don't like watching it too much because it's so heavy.

It was more back in August after everything reopened that we had to make a decision on whether to get money back on our passes or whether to renew. I wasn't going to get much back because my pass had two weeks left when the parks closed. He told me he thought I was better off just buying a pass for the amount of time we were going instead of renewing my AP. I did the math and was like, erm, nope, still better off renewing my AP. He also kept saying he wasn't sure if he was going to go for his usual trips (which mentally I called as a "yeah right"). I didn't tell him that if we hadn't gone in September I was going to fly down for a few days in October or November. He was also mad about the reservation system and the reduced hours.

Well, it turned out that we did go in September, they aren't taking new AP purchases, and they're going for a very long time this winter (as I kind of also called) so I was right all along as suspected.

He's pretty convinced he's infallible so this is a nice change.

Oh, and he said it to my mom when I was out of earshot and she called me over and made him repeat it to me. 😂

I do too.

I know this sounds cliche, but Inside Out came out right when I needed it. I was in college, struggling with depression. I'm good at being empathetic, but I'm really bad with my own emotions and how to express them, so my default is just to not express strong emotions. Inside Out helps me to kind of mentally visualize my emotions so I can productively express them, usually in my journal.

They use the characters in B's class too in order to help them because kids with autism have trouble with empathy and identifying their own emotions.
