Unfortunately he is still dealing with an infection in a salivary gland (possible stone which hasn’t passed yet.) He cannot chew or swallow without excruciating pain (he is taking meds for infection and pain.) And I started with a bad cold on the 26th....things are pretty pitiful now in the Tuvalu household. 🤧
Sucking on sour candy can help with a salivary stone.

As a bit of a joke, wasn't there a news story about how riding Big Thunder Mt helps pass stones? I think that was for kidney stones but it might help Woody.... :) Seriously though, I hope you both feel better soon.
I don’t think he can wait until February. 😉
Thanks for the well wishes. :inlove:
So glad your got to celebrate but sad to hear you're both Uber the weather!! How he heals and you feel better shortly. It sucks when both partners are ill.
Your post made me smile....first for your kind words, but also for the autocorrect! 😁
Sending lots of socially distanced {{HUGS}} and pixie dust xoxo
Thank you, Figgy. ❤️

Are you able to see like a little yellow at the opening of the gland? If you can you can take 2 q-tips and try pushing around it to try and pop it out.

Oh no! Poor Woody. :( And poor Tuvalu with a post-Christmas cold. :(

It's just more yuckdom on top of 2020 yuckdom. I predict both you and Woody will feel much better on January 1, 2021.

Hang in there, buddy.

We're changing up New Year's Eve. We're celebrating it a day early (Weds. night). Hey, why not get rid of 2020 by pushing it up a night, right?! :p

Every year, we get Chinese food take-out. All orders have to be called in ahead of time. They assign a pick-up time, to try and control (some) of the chaos, when tons of people are descending upon this (little) restaurant. So, I was thinking yesterday that I didn't want hubs to be waiting in the pick-up line with a lot of other people, during the high # of virus cases (we're included in a number of communities now, in a red zone). Hence, I bounced the idea of celebrating a day early, and he was all for it. :)

And we also have a bottle of sparkling cider at home, so maybe we'll save that for the (actual) New Year's Eve, and have a toast! :joyfull:
Not having New Year's day meal till January 2nd and having fish fry instead. What happened was wintery mix is happening on January 1st. I'll be having porterhouse steak on the grill, baked potato and fried mushrooms on January 2nd.
