I always wanted a Yorkie...they are so small and cute. My music teacher in 7th grade had one and she wore an apron for our awards night and put the dog (Melody) in the front pocket of the apron. When we got an award we got to come up and shake Melody's paw.

I also love Papillons. They look kind of like the long haired chihuahuas, but chihuahuas are known for being really needy. They don't do well being left alone while you go to work during the day. They need a lot of attention. I have enough demands on my time...I'd rather have a dog that makes a good companion, but isn't like a toddler. 😂
Get two papillon's then . Still smaller than one proper dog 😉.
Mrs Adams used to have one and her mum had several. They are a lot more independent than you would think.

The only Christmas baking I did, was gingerbread cookies today. I always put extra ginger in mine, along with other spices, but the ginger is predominant. :hungry: I kept some cookies in the frig, but most went into the freezer.

These were the only vice I gave into, this entire holiday season. Seriously, what lunatic willingly decides to go on a diet in November and December?!! C'est moi . . . 🤦‍♀️ !! Oh well, 10 pounds lost.
I am going to be making gingerbread cookies, almond butter blossoms(youngest doesn’t like peanut butter), a gingerbread cake, and maybe a cheesecake. Not sure about the cheesecake. Might be too much work. Have lots of housecleaning to do.

Chihuahuas are also one human dogs. They tend to just latch onto one, so not great family dogs. (From what I have been told anyway.)

me too! I avoided the weight gain during the first part of this pandemic but lately since thanksgiving my resolve has not been the best.

I know and I can't go running too. Snow on the ground which I normally wouldn't mind but my city doesn't know how to plow. It took 4 days after snow to get my street down to the pavement. But there's a small window of light before darkness when I get home from work.

Though after tomorrow's Nor'easter, there will be no more snow on the ground. Up to 2.5 inches of rain and 60 mph winds.

hubs just came in from shovel number one. He thought it would be really heavy because it was raining before snow but he said overall it is light. A few more inches on the way but the wind is blowing really hard so I’m sure we will have some drifts. Oh and the food was great plenty of leftovers! Including chocolate Yule log with homemade chocolate mousse.

That is such a beautiful scene!! I especially like the Minnie and Mickey atop the gingerbread house on the table -- very cute!! ❤️

Oh, to answer you question about my gingerbread cookies, some are crispy and some are the softer kind. It just depended upon how thick or thin I rolled out the dough before baking. (I like both kinds, and the crispy ones I like to dip into coffee!) :hungry:

Let’s see if I can remember everything...

This morning:

bank for rolled coin and deposit
Dollar tree for stocking(s) and cheap cards(?)
Fresh Market for sub par non-salted caramel chocolate chunk cookies and a vegan something (for a guy at my distributor’s warehouse who couldn’t eat the muffins I brought last week.)
Whole Foods for lobster tails.
Publix for Ronzoni fusili and non-cheap cards. Plus something else I’m sure I’m forgetting right now. ETA: what I was forgetting = Kylie’s Christmas treat.
My East store to get things I need to bring to my West store and to drop off bonus cards (and sub-par cookies.)
My distributor’s warehouse to pick up today’s orders and drop off vegan something for Matthias.
My West store to drop off merch from East store and pick up things for East store, drop off bonus cards and sub-par cookies. Possibly a shot of Crown vanilla.
The kava bar near my West store to drop off a stocking full of Iron Maiden action figures for the proprietor’s kid, and sub-par cookies, and drink some kava. Reorder what has sold so far today.
Back to East store to drop off their order plus transfers from West store, including a certain turntable for customer Gabe.
Home, rest, cook lobster gravy, miss Grandma, eat, pass out.

I'm going to be lazy today just kicking back with Christmas movies/shows on in the background. The boys are getting cereal for breakfast, as I said kicking back:D Then it onto cooking a 7 course lunch/dinner but it's not going to be traditional:eek: There will be 7 fishes but some changes to the menu will be made. The wind has started to kick up, already a bit too much so to run the smoker so I'm making a lemon sauce for that. I'm also making fish and chips 1608812474153.png
