Oh my, that's unpleasant, right before Christmas!!! 🤦‍♀️ I just hope it all gets fixed quickly, so that you can still enjoy the holidays.

Incidentally, how is your son doing? Better, I hope.
Thanks for asking he is doing better they finally have him on Humira shots and it seems to be working though a very slow recovery. He has gained back some weight and has regained some energy and apatite. His bathroom trips are down from 18 + a day to 7 or less. Just going to take time

Today, finally get to the fudge and rum balls.
I also found a recipe my mom used when my brothers were younger. It is a cookie mix base, that is the start of a bunch of different cookies. Planning on snowballs, thumbprints, peanut butter. There is a toffee cookie I might have to try, too. Since exchanging cookies isn't a thing this year, seems like a good way to get a bunch of different cookies, without having too many for he 4 of us.

And, last weekend was sad. The best neighbor I could have ever asked for passed away. All of the things I would normally do, I can't. Her daughter lives around the corner, and is also a close neighbor. Our boys grew up together. I know I can't see her, because there is no way I could not hug her afte her dear mother has passed. I can't send over a casserole, or dinner. Can't go to a wake or funeral. The best I can think of is a gift card for a food place to order from, and a card. But that doesn't seem adequate. So, in these Covid times, what do I do?

On a positive note, I was able to find Tapioca in the store for the first time since March. I utilize five grocery stores on a regular basis. Walmart, Lowes, Publix, Harris Teeter's and Food Lion. It has been listed on my phone based shopping list since the end of March. I look for it in every store I go into and finally yesterday there it was. I don't use a lot of it but I love home cooked Tapioca Pudding so I indulge myself once in a while. I have, however, had to go without for 9 months now and finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can breath easy again. 😃
Follow up... It was everything I remembered. Now I just have to find a way to not go crazy. 😇 🥳

Have TV on in the background, (on TLC), Invasion of the Christmas Lights show (orig. aired 2010). It's amazing how creative and often, over-the-top Christmas lights displays (many including music), are for some people. It's fun to watch and a good break from reality. ;)

I'm so sorry for your loss!

Do you have any pictures of her? I'm sure her daughter would appreciate a little scrapbook of momentos of her mom, and it would be more personal that way. And maybe give her your phone number if she doesn't have it so if she wants to talk, she can?
