OK, I guess I'm just getting more sentimental or just stressed over the events of the last few years, but I ran across this a few days ago and it touched something in me. For a few moments it pushed all the curmudgeon aside. Don't worry it will be back soon I'm sure, but I would like to share this. It takes almost 4 minutes, but it is so worth it and gives me a little hope for the future. Plus it might just help some cope with some of the bad experiences this past year. Please take a few moments to listen to this, I think you will be glad that you did.

Yep, that one got me too.
Being the father of wonderful kiddos, and the grandfather of a wonderful granddaughter, and with another grandchild on the way, stuff like that really hits home, in a good way.
Thanks for sharing...!!! :)

Wish I could have too, but I had to wait until I was able to stash away all the money I could muster up to have enough money to do it at age 62 1/2. It's been good, but I can't imagine how much better it would have been if I hadn't had to use up at that time while my body was young enough to be as active as I wanted to be. Don't get me wrong. My father only lived 9 more years after he retired and he had active Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have been lucky enough, even through a few setbacks, to still travel and spend time with my family and play golf once or twice a week. I would be out there today if the temperature hadn't been 29 degrees this morning. I may be a cold weather northerner, but I like to think I'm not stupid either.

Yea, I imagine I’ll be workin’ ‘til at least 65, if not beyond.
Haven’t shot a round of golf in years, but, have enjoyed those times in the past.
59* here, so would be great golf weather if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s been rainin’ all mornin’.
Not complainin’ though, as we need the precip....!!! :)

I had no clue during what time period this took place. Now I know it was after Jedi. And deep fakes are scary.

Yea, I haven’t watched any episodes this season, but, DWifey and DS have. I hadn’t seen any spoilers, either, and just threw it out there. DS and DWifey had already seen it, but, didn’t tell me anything. With everyone who had seen it over the last coupla’ days freakin’ out, and the way DWifey and DS were actin’, I pretty much knew I called it before I watched...!!! :)

Our roads are paved we're not barbarians;)
You calling my dad a barbarian? :P Our ranch didn't have paved roads. When I learned to drive, it was like an obstacle course trying to dodge all the massive potholes, etc. When my mom was pregnant with me, they had scheduled her ceasarian, but then a huge winter storm hit and they were snowed in at the ranch. Then my mom's back started hurting. They called in the county commissioner, who was a friend, and he had a plow brought out to plow right to the door so my dad could take my mom into town so they were close to the hospital.

Football, both NFL and college, have been funny games for a long time now.
For decades now, I have never seen sooo friggin’ much over-celebration for basic plays...!!!!! :hilarious:
As old UT football coach Darrell Royal used to say, when all that stupid crap started years ago... “Act like ya’ been there before, son...!!!”
Some player makes a tackle, and dances around like an idiot like it’s the first one he’s ever made... :cyclops:
Save your energy, get back in position for the next play, and do your job.
I watched one guy last week lose his friggin’ mind over an interception. Their offense then went 3 and out. Next set of downs for the other team, he got called for PI, the other team scored, and they lost the game...karma...?!!!!! :cyclops::hilarious:
